LG already has one in the pipeline and Google is said to be working on three Pixel watches. Another smartwatch launching this year is the Huawei Watch 2 (2018) and its specs and images have just leaked online.</p>
<p>The leak which was posted by @evleaks shows the big difference between the 2018 model and last year&#8217;s Huawei Watch 2 is the addition of eSIM support. The rest of the specs are pretty much the same.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-190646" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Huawei-Watch-2-2018.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Watch 2 (2018)" width="981" height="508" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Huawei-Watch-2-2018.jpg 981w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Huawei-Watch-2-2018-300x155.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Huawei-Watch-2-2018-768x398.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 981px) 100vw, 981px" /> <img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-190645" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Huawei-Watch-2-2018-b.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei Watch 2 (2018)" width="1200" height="425" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Huawei-Watch-2-2018-b.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Huawei-Watch-2-2018-b-300x106.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Huawei-Watch-2-2018-b-768x272.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Huawei-Watch-2-2018-b-1024x363.jpg 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></p>
<p>The Huawei Watch 2 (2018) will run Wear OS, have a 1.2&#8221; AMOLED display with a 390 x 390 resolution, and be powered by a Snapdragon 2100. RAM remains 4GB and built-in storage has also been left at 768MB.</p>
<p>The watch also keeps the 420mAh battery from last year, has Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, a bunch of sensors including a heart rate sensor, and an IP68 rating. Huawei has also redesigned the straps. The eSIM is the major addition. It was exclusive to the Watch 2 Pro last year but will now be available on the base model this year.</p>

<p>The eSIM should let you share the same phone number as that of your phone. So, you can leave your phone at home and not worry about missing calls or messages.</p>
<p>There is no info with respect to a release date and pricing.</p>
