<p><strong><em>Original Story is as follows&#8230;</em></strong></p>
<p>After a lot of <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/09/apple-event-rumors-23-march/">misquoted dates</a>, Apple&#8217;s Siri assistant itself has revealed the date of the next launch event. While Apple hasn&#8217;t confirmed it yet, the next Apple event is said to be on April 20 as per Siri.</p>
<p>Just like users reporting on Twitter and MacRumors reports, I tried asking Siri, &#8220;Hey Siri, Apple event&#8221;. It replied that a Special event is on next Tuesday, i.e, April 20. Apple recently confirmed that it&#8217;s WWDC 2021 will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/30/380975-apple-ww-dc-2021-june-7-official-expected-announcements/">online</a> and begin on June 7.</p>
<p>While one might expect the same for this event, <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/siri">Siri</a> says that the event will be hosted at Apple Park in Cupertino, CA. That said, it doesn&#8217;t confirm it as an in-person event and considering the situation, we can expect Apple to stream a pre-recorded video on social media channels like <a href="http://www.gizmochina.com/tag/youtube">YouTube</a>.</p>
<p>You can take a look at the screenshot below:</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-383708 size-large" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Apple-siri-leaks-april-20-event-1-473x1024.png?x44794" alt="" width="473" height="1024" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Apple-siri-leaks-april-20-event-1-473x1024.png 473w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Apple-siri-leaks-april-20-event-1-139x300.png 139w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Apple-siri-leaks-april-20-event-1-696x1507.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Apple-siri-leaks-april-20-event-1-194x420.png 194w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Apple-siri-leaks-april-20-event-1.png 750w" sizes="(max-width: 473px) 100vw, 473px" /></p>
<p>Also, Siri didn&#8217;t say anything about the products/announcements that are going to be unveiled at the event. However, we have seen various reports in the past and they suggest that Apple will bring the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/01/apple-ipad-pro-2021-powerful-as-mac/">iPad Pro 2021</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/04/06/382225-apple-tv-2021-model-120hz-support-tvos-14-5-beta-code/">Apple TV 2021</a>, and long-rumored <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/02/13/apple-airtags-on-course-march-2021-launch/">AirTags</a>.</p>
<p>There are also rumors about the new iMacs and Macbooks but we aren&#8217;t sure if they would see the light on that day.</p>
<p>Talking about the iPad Pro models, Apple is said to bring 11-inch and 12.9inch iPad Pro models. Out of this, the 12.9-inch is said to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/04/12/apple-ipad-pro-2021-launch-report/">feature a mini-LED display</a>. Other expected specs include A14X chipset, Thunderbolt connection via USB-C, and more.</p>
<p>As for the Apple TV 2021, it is expected to bring upgrades like HDMI 2.1 port, support for 120Hz refresh rate content, powerful <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/07/apple-tv2020-4k-a12z-soc-december-8-launch/">GPU and higher RAM capacity</a>, and more.</p>

And it seems that the event might clash with another major launch event from a well-known brand.</p>
<p>As <a href="https://twitter.com/jon_prosser/status/1368865702329937921">per the new reports</a>, Apple is expected to host an event to launch new products on 23rd March. This is the same day when <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/08/oneplus-9-series-launch-date-hasselblad-partnership-camera-specs/">OnePlus will be announcing its next-generation flagship</a> smartphone &#8212; the OnePlus 9.</p>

<p>The upcoming Apple event on 23rd March is expected to be a virtual event and the company could launch the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-ipad-pro">iPad Pro 2021</a> lineup as well as a few other products, including the AirTags which have been delayed a few times.</p>
<p>The Apple iPad Pro 2021 is expected to have an optional support for 5G connectivity and could be powered by the A14X Bionic chipset, which is reported to be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/03/01/apple-ipad-pro-2021-powerful-as-mac/">capable of matching the performance</a> of Apple M1 chip used in the new Mac devices.</p>
<p>There are also reports about Apple working on a new version of the iPad Mini which could be called iPad Mini Pro. However, the device is unlikely to get launched this month. The company is also said to be adopting <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mini-led">Mini-LED display</a> panels for the new iPads.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s a possibility that the new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/airpods-3">third-generation AirPods</a> could also get launched at the event later this month, along with a new Apple TV. While both of these products are ready for launch, it is not yet confirmed if they will be launched at this event.</p>

Now, a new report has surfaced online, shedding light on its performance capabilities.</p>
<p>The upcoming Apple iPad Pro 2021 is expected to be powered by the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/08/11/apple-iphone-12-a14-bionic-40-increase-cpu-performance-over-a13/">Apple A14 chipset</a> which powers the company&#8217;s new iPhone 12 series. The chipset, made using the 5nm process, will be a major improvement over the A12Z Bionic powering current iPad Pro.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-373856 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak.jpeg?x44794" alt="Apple iPad Pro 2021 Leak" width="1200" height="800" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak.jpeg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak-696x464.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak-1068x712.jpeg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/iPad-Pro-2021-Leak-630x420.jpeg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></p>
<p>Now, Mark Gurman claims (<a href="https://www.phonearena.com/news/2021-ipad-pro-chip-could-be-as-powerful-as-apple-m1_id130412">via PhoneArena</a>) that the new iPad Pro will exceed the expectations in terms of performance with the A14 chipset. The report suggests that the device will be as powerful as the <a href="https://geni.us/mac-m1">M1-powered Apple Mac</a> devices.</p>
<p>In terms of design, the upcoming <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/apple-ipad-pro">iPad Pro</a> is expected to look similar to the current models. But, there&#8217;s a possibility that the device may be a bit thicker if the company opts to offer a Mini-LED display with improved brightness and better contrast ratios.</p>
<p>It is also being said that the upcoming tablet will come with support for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/5g">5G connectivity</a> with Sub-6GHz and mmWave networks. Along with this, we are also expecting better camera performance.</p>
<p>As noted above, the new Apple iPad Pro 2021 is expected to go official this month but so far, there&#8217;s no such confirmation or indication from the Cupertino-based giant.</p>
