iQOO has just launched the Neo 11 Ultra, its latest entry in its gaming-oriented Neo line. The phone builds on the familiar formula Neo is known for: offering top-tier gaming hardware at a lower price than iQOO’s flagship models. Here’s what the new iQOO Neo 11 Ultra brings, along with its price. 

iQOO Neo 11 Ultra Specifications

The phone ships in a new Wind Chaser color, plus the classic Black and White. The back has a matte, fingerprint-resistant finish paired with a matte metal frame. Visually, you get a horizontal camera module for its two lenses, and the phone is 9.13mm thick.

The Neo 11 Ultra is the first phone to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500M, a version of the Dimensity 9500 with one fewer GPU core. It’s paired with LPDDR5X Ultra memory and UFS 4.1 storage. iQOO also added its own cooling system, an 8K “Ice Dome” vapor chamber, along with a separate chip called Q2 that handles upscaling games to 2K resolution.

The screen is a 6.83-inch, 2K panel that uses a new light-emitting material from Visionox. It runs at up to 144Hz, and iQOO rates it at 2000 nits of brightness across the full screen, with a peak of 4500 nits in small areas. It’s rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust resistance, and includes an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that iQOO says still works with wet hands. Other additions include a three-antenna WiFi system, a 400Hz gyroscope for vibration feedback in games, and iQOO’s new OriginOS 6 software.

iQOO’s latest official teaser for the Neo11 Ultra is all about the camera. They’ve confirmed a 50MP “ultra-stabilized” large Sony sensor as the main camera. The teaser also mentions “new native light and shadow effects,” which probably points to smarter image processing. Overall, it hints at more realistic depth and contrast.

The Live Photo feature gets a proper upgrade too: higher quality, plus support for stabilization, beautification, and filters. The main camera is paired with an 8MP ultrawide, while selfies are handled by a 16MP front camera. So it’s a simple dual-rear setup on the back, but the brand is clearly focusing on the main camera hardware and the processing improvements.

As proof, the teaser includes three high-resolution images, most likely shot on the main camera, including a night shot. The first photo is a portrait. Only when you zoom in do you notice a bit of overlap on some individual strands of hair. Apart from that, the subject separation looks clean, and the colors and noise control are both impressive. There’s no major over-sharpening anywhere in the frame.

The second shot is outdoors in daylight, and as expected it looks solid. Saturation and texture on the subject are nicely balanced, the kind of photo you’d share without touching it. The third image has a bit more colour punch, but it doesn’t tip into looking oversaturated or dull.

It’s hard to judge the exact colour temperature in the yellow-light areas, but overall it still looks good enough to post as-is. The Live Photo sample also holds up well, with a decent amount of detail visible in the individual frames.

The phone goes on sale on August 18 in China. From the specs that have been floating around (and the earlier official teases), it’s very much a performance-first device. It’s powered by the Dimensity 9500M with an 11-core GPU, plus iQOO’s own Q2 gaming chip for an extra boost in games. Huihuizi, iQOO’s Product Manager, took to Weibo to share the display specifications. The phone is set to feature a 6.83-inch flat OLED panel with 2K resolution.

iQOO Neo 11 Ultra has world’s first F2 luminescent material screen

What makes this display stand out isn’t just the resolution, though. iQOO is using what it calls the world’s first domestically produced F2 luminescent material, built using a “micrometer-level evaporation deposition process.” 

In plain terms, this is a new way of applying the light-emitting layer on the screen, and iQOO says it pushes luminous efficiency higher than before. The efficiency gain lets the Neo 11 Ultra run a full 2K panel while apparently sipping less power than some 1.5K screens on the market, according to the product manager.

That’s a notable claim, since 1.5K panels have typically been the safer choice for battery life. If you remember, the standard iQOO Neo 11 that launched late last year already leaned on a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO display, so a high-res screen isn’t new to the Neo line. What’s new is squeezing that resolution into a more power-efficient package, and it comes as iQOO also gears up to possibly launch the Z11S alongside the Neo 11 Ultra this month.

On the design side, hands-on units in the Radiant White colorway show off a 3D flowing light effect. The back panel has a gradient sheen that shifts depending on the angle and lighting, alongside the floating porthole camera design and rounded edges you’d expect from the series.
