It is one of the most impressive phones launched this year if we consider its hardware department and battery, a perfect device for gamers and even the first from this brand to run the latest Android version out of the box. Its amazing value for money is the reason why we are actually comparing it to a lot of flagship killers out there, especially the ones equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, for obvious reasons. Today, it is the turn of another very interesting flagship killer: the OnePlus 10T. Note that this device is a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace Pro and it has exactly the same specifications. It is also placed in the same price range as the new iQOO device. Here is a comparison between the main specifications of the iQOO Neo7 and the OnePlus 10T or Ace Pro.

Design

The iQOO Neo 7 and the OnePlus 10T come with a good design. They are not built with the most premium materials, but they come with a high screen to body ratio and punch hole displays. On the rear side, they got big camera modules, not the best if you need a minimalistic phone, but they are not ugly devices. I personally prefer the OnePlus 10T because it has a glass back and a glass front protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5, but it is mainly a matter of taste. These phones are very similar in terms of thickness and weight, the OnePlus is slightly more compact, but nothing very relevant. While the iQOO has volume buttons and the power key placed both on the right side, the 10T has a power key placed on the right side and volume buttons placed on the left.

Display

The displays of these two phones come with very similar specifications, there is nothing special to mention in terms of differences, so we will just list their specifications. The iQOO Neo7 has an AMOLED panel able to show up to one billion colors with a diagonal of 6.78 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ certification, as well as an in-display fingerprint reader. The OnePlus 10T has an AMOLED display with one billion colors, a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and an in-display fingerprint reader. The very important difference is in the audio, as the OnePlus is the only one packing stereo speakers, so its audio is definitely more powerful.

Specs & Software

The OnePlus 10T wins the hardware comparison, even though by a slight margin. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ mobile platform built with a 4 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X2 CPU running at a max frequency of 3.2 GHz, three Cortex A710 CPUs running at 2.85 GHz, and four Cortex A510 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, as well as a Mali G710 MC10 GPU. Alongside this SoC, there are up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of native storage. The OnePlus 10T has a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform built with a 4 nm production process and with an octa-core architecture including a Cortex X2 CPU with a max frequency of 3.19 GHz, three Cortex A710 CPUs running at 2.75 GHz, four Cortex A510 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 730 GPU. While the two processors have similar performance, the OnePlus 10T has higher multi-tasking capabilities thanks to the presence of 16 GB of RAM, but it only reaches 256 GB of native storage. However, the RAM is the component accounting for better performance. On the other hand, the iQOO Neo7 runs Android 13 out of the box, while the OnePlus 10T has Android 12.

Camera

If we consider the cameras, it is essentially a draw because these handsets have exactly the same camera department.

Battery

The battery is bigger on the iQOO Neo7, which is able to provide longer battery life in several scenarios. On the other hand, the OnePlus 10T charges quicker thanks to 150W fast charging against just 120W.

Price

The iQOO Neo7 starts from about €380 or $380, while the OnePlus 10T begins at $599 or €600. Which one would you pick?

We are talking about the iQOO Neo7 by Vivo’s sub-brand, definitely one of the most interesting devices released this year, at least for gamers and power users. With this device, you can get amazing high-end specifications at a very affordable price if compared to other top-tier flagships, but is it really the best flagship killer you can buy in the actual market? A lot of people are asking this question because there are several devices in the same price range. One of the best is undoubtedly the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition released in July and is now available at more interesting street prices. Here is a comparison between the main specifications of the iQOO Neo7 by Vivo’s sub-brand and the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition.

Design

The most original and interesting design of this comparison belongs to the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition. It comes in a special color option that is reminiscent of a travel trunk. This color option has a rear side made of eco leather and a frame made of aluminum. There is also a variant with a ceramic back. It is one of the most beautiful phones released this year and we recommend it if the design is one of your main priorities. Instead, the iQOO Neo 7 is nothing special if we talk about aesthetics. It is beautiful with its narrow bezels and punch hole placed centrally, but for the rest, it is not so different from the other devices sold in a similar price range and even from more affordable low cost devices.

Display

The displays of these two phones are very similar. We are talking about high-end panels, not the best ones out there, but still great displays. The iQOO Neo7 has an AMOLED panel with a diagonal of 6.78 inches, a Full HD Plus resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, a peak brightness of 1,500 nits, and an in-display fingerprint reader. The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition has an OLED panel as well, with a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, HDR10+ certification, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint reader. Both displays are able to show up to one billion colors, but the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is the only one with stereo speakers, so it offers a better audio experience.

Specs & Software

The iQOO Neo7 and the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition are two phones with a similar level of performance, but with different chipsets. The iQOO Neo 7 has a Dimensity 9000+ mobile platform, actually the most advanced processor by MediaTek. It is a processor built with a 4 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture composed of a Cortex X2 CPU running at a max frequency of 3.2 GHz, three Cortex A710 CPUs running at 2.85 GHz, and four Cortex A510 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, as well as a Mali G710 MC10 CPU. Alongside this chipset, there are up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. With the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition, you get a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform running at a max frequency of 3.19 GHz, up to 12 GB of RAM, and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Note that the iQOO Neo 7 ships with Android 13 out of the box, while the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition runs Android 12.

Camera

The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition wins the camera comparison thanks to the presence of better secondary sensors. Indeed, it has a 50 MP ultrawide camera (instead of a bad 8 MP shooter like the one of the iQOO Neo7) and a 3 MP microlens with 40x magnification.

Battery

The battery capacities are the same: 5000 mAh, and you can get more or less the same battery life with these two phones. But the iQOO Neo7 charges quicker thanks to 120W fast charging (instead of just 100W).

Price

The iQOO Neo 7 carries a starting price of €380 or $380, while the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition starts from $560 or €560 (but in a different market). Which one would you pick?

We can consider it as the first real affordable flagship powered by the most powerful MediaTek mobile platform of this year and, thanks to this and other features, it is an amazing phone for all the gamers out there. But there is another device released by Vivo’s sub-brand perfect for gamers and with top-tier performance. We are talking about the iQOO 9T: while the Neo 7 is equipped with the most powerful MediaTek chipset, the 9T is fueled by the most advanced chipset released by Qualcomm this year, if we exclude the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Here is a comparison between the main specifications of the iQOO Neo7 and the iQOO 9T which will highlight the differences between these two phones.

Design

The iQOO Neo 7 and the iQOO 9T have original designs, with big camera modules and special color options. Among them, I personally prefer the iQOO 9T due to its rear cover made of two pieces of different colors, especially in the BMW M Motorsport-themed edition, also known as the Legend color option. It is also built with better materials, including glass for the back (the front glass is protected by Gorilla Glass 5) and aluminum for the frame. Further, the 9T adds something very interesting for gamers, which we will tell you about in the section of this comparison related to the display. Last but not least, this handset has the IP52 certification making it dust resistant and splash resistant, but note that it is not a waterproof phone.

Display

The iQOO Neo7 and the iQOO 9T have exactly the same display panel. It is an AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.78 inches able to show up to one billion colors with a Full HD Plus resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ certification. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and it includes an in-display fingerprint reader. Unlike the most advanced Vivo flagships, the in-display fingerprint reader in this case is optical and not ultrasonic. The iQOO 9T comes with an additional feature of the display: the Monster Touch. It is able to detect the pressure level of your finger in order to unlock more commands during gaming sessions. It is a very useful feature for pro gamers. Another important advantage of the 9T is the presence of stereo speakers, as the iQOO Neo 7 has just a mono speaker.

Specs & Software

The hardware department is the strongest point of these two phones. They are powered by the best processors by MediaTek and Qualcomm, respectively. The iQOO Neo7 sports the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ platform built with a 4 nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture which includes a Cortex X2 CPU running at 3.2 GHz, two Cortex A710 CPUs running at 2.85 GHz, and four Cortex A510 CPUs running at 1.8 GHz, as well as a Mali G710 MC10 GPU. The RAM goes up to 12 GB, while the internal storage goes up to 512 GB. The highest-end memory configuration of the iQOO 9T has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, while the processor is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 built at 4 nm and with a max frequency of 3.19 GHz. Note that the Neo 7 runs Android 13 out of the box, while the 9T is based on Android 12.

Camera

The iQOO 9T wins the camera comparison thanks to the presence of better secondary sensors: we got a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 12 MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom, and a 13 MP ultrawide shooter with a FOV of 120 degrees. The iQOO Neo7 has a triple rear camera including the same 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide camera, and a 2 MP macro shooter.

Battery

With the iQOO Neo7, you can get a bigger 5000 mAh battery providing a longer battery life. The blazing charging speeds are the same, thanks to 120W fast charging.

Price

The iQOO Neo7 starts from about $380 or €380 in China, while you need about $600/€600 to purchase the iQOO 9T in India. If we consider the overall specifications, the 9T wins the comparison thanks to better cameras.

In the camera department, it is expected to feature an OIS-assisted Sony IMX766 50-megapixel main camera. If the reports are to be believed, then the phone will borrow specifications from the iQOO 10 5G.

The phone is likely to come packed with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. In the software department, it will be running the Android 12 out-of-the-box with the company’s own iQOO UI on top. While the battery capacity is not yet known, it has been revealed that the phone will support 120W fast charging.
