Although, this device will only support 4G.</p>
<p>According to known tipster @<a href="https://weibo.com/6048569942/KAxbIdJmk?from=page_1005056048569942_profile&amp;wvr=6&amp;mod=weibotime&amp;type=comment" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">数码闲聊站</a> on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website), the company is working on a new 4G enabled smartphone. This device will house a Kirin 9000 4G chipset, which means that its similar to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei-p50/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Huawei P50</a> series that also features LTE version only. Furthermore, it seems that the Chinese tech giant will also be launching most of its smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon line of processors in the first half of next year.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter wp-image-358250 size-full" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Kirin-9000-5g-performance-5.jpg?x10805" alt="Huawei" width="2048" height="1152" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Kirin-9000-5g-performance-5.jpg 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Kirin-9000-5g-performance-5-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Kirin-9000-5g-performance-5-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Kirin-9000-5g-performance-5-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Kirin-9000-5g-performance-5-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Kirin-9000-5g-performance-5-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Kirin-9000-5g-performance-5-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Kirin-9000-5g-performance-5-1920x1080.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 2048px) 100vw, 2048px" /></p>
<p>The reason for the shift away from its proprietary platform is due to its drying up inventory. For those unaware, prior to the brand being cut off from <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/18/tsmc-halts-new-huawei-orders/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">sourcing its Kirin chips from TSMC</a>, it had managed to secure orders that would last it for its upcoming generation of smartphones. But this time has now passed and its appears that the company&#8217;s chip inventory is running out. Unfortunately, while the tipster did state that Huawei is working on a new device, the exact model has not been reveal at the moment. So stay tuned for more, as we will be providing updates when additional information is available regarding this matter.</p>

Although not officially confirmed, the Chinese smartphone giant is </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/22/huawei-p50-series-may-launch-on-july-29/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">rumored to debut </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">the Huawei P50 phones on July 29 in the home market, China. With all the launch rumors on the way, we saw a few poster <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/05/13/huawei-p50-official-render-leaked/">leaks of the P50 series last month</a>. Now, we have received live images of the smartphone in a unique shade. </span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-P50.png?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-397334" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-P50.png?x10805" alt="Huawei P50" width="448" height="565" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-P50.png 448w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-P50-238x300.png 238w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-P50-333x420.png 333w" sizes="(max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As of now, it is evident that the series will consist of a few devices featuring multiple cameras. The major highlight will be the huge lenses at the rear. The huge round camera housings accommodate multiple sensors inside. Also, the Pink color, which is something unique in the color palette from Huawei, has a glitter-like shiny sparkling. </span></p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-P50-sparkling-pink.jpeg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-397335" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-P50-sparkling-pink.jpeg?x10805" alt="Huawei P50 sparkling pink" width="696" height="435" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-P50-sparkling-pink.jpeg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-P50-sparkling-pink-300x188.jpeg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Huawei-P50-sparkling-pink-672x420.jpeg 672w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></a></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The device has a Huawei branding at the bottom left and a LEICA branding beneath the huge camera island. The LEICA branding suggests the German brand’s partnership with Huawei. Although LEICA has created a market for the Japanese audience with the</span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/17/leitz-phone-1-launched-japan/"> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Leitz Phone 1</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, the Chinese market seems to be getting the popular Huawei-LEICA partnership back. It is worth noting that this</span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/05/15/huawei-and-leicas-partnership-will-end-with-the-p50-series/"> <span style="font-weight: 400;">could be the last partnership</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> between the two brands. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The phone has three sensors in the upper camera bulge and a periscope camera with a dedicated LED flash in the lower camera bulge. It has another regular-sized LED flash, probably for the other three sensors. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Aside from this, the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/huawei">Huawei</a> P50 series is expected to be powered by the 5nm based Kirin 9000 chipset for the home market and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/06/02/huawei-gives-us-an-official-look-at-the-p50-series-may-come-with-a-snapdragon-888-4g-chip/">Snapdragon 888 flagship chipset</a> for a few of its siblings in the series. Notably, it is said that the Snapdragon 888 in a few P50 phones will be an LTE-only version. </span></p>
