UPDATE: Turns out this is the Lenovo Z5.

Lenovo is expected to take the wraps off the much-touted flagship Z5 on June 5. Ahead of the launch, a new Lenovo model appeared online over the weekend which has all the makings of a midrange model including a full-screen design bearing a notch at the top. The Lenovo model comes with the model number L78011 and may be launched alongside the flagship Z5 as the Z5 Lite.

Fresh pictures of the Lenovo model which is believed to be a Lite version of the Z5 have appeared showing the front and the rear design. As already gathered from the first leaked picture, the purported Lenovo Z5 Lite comes with a Full-view design with a cut out at the top of the screen. The cut-out houses the earpiece, a sensor and selfie camera. The screen to body ratio appears to be less than 90% as the bottom bezel is quite generous.

We’re seeing the rear design for the first time, thanks to these new leaked pictures. The design includes a translucent glass back similar to the Mi 8SE’s, showing the internal component including the battery. The device also packs a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor at the middle. At the lower aspect, the Lenovo logo is printed on the translucent glass body. The device comes with a dual camera setup aligned vertically at the top left edge.

The previous leak shows the Lenovo L78011 model will feature a Snapdragon 636 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The leak also reveals the phone runs ZUI 3.9.253 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Lenovo is gearing up for the launch of the Z5 on Tuesday but there is a chance that may not be the only phone we’ll see. An unknown Lenovo phone with model number L78011 has surfaced online and there is a chance it may also arrive on Tuesday.

A live photo of the phone is actually what has appeared on the web and it provides some very important info. The photo not only shows the front of the device but also shows the “about phone” page which lists some of the key specs.

With respect to design, the Lenovo L78011 will have a notch at the top of its display. The design of the notch is similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi 8 but it is not as wide. The picture isn’t clear enough, so we can’t tell what else sits inside the cut-out other than the usual – front camera, earpiece, and sensor. The phone also seems to have a bit of bezel at the bottom.

With respect to specs, the Lenovo L78011 will come with a Snapdragon 636 processor. It will also have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. We want to believe there will be other storage options when it launches. The about phone page also reveals the phone runs ZUI 3.9.253 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
