While we’ve ever covered the leaked image of the LG Optimus G2 Android smartphone, is now LG has confirmed that the launch of LG Optimus G2 will be held on August 7th in New York City. According to information, the new Optimus G2 will be available on August 20th.

According to leaked information, the new LG Optimus G2 will use Snapdragon 800 and  Adreno 330 GPU, packs with 3 GB of RAM, 5.2 inch Full HD IPS display, sports with 13 megapixel camera, packs with 2700mAh battery capacity. But for the global version, it seems will packs with 2GB of RAM, the 3 GB of RAM version is specifically for South Korea (LTE-Advanced). The most interesting is LG put some like power and volume buttons on the back.

In addition to G2, LG is working on Nexus 5 which is the base of the Optimus G2, the LG Nexus 5 will launched after the Optimus G2, which is on October 5th. The new Nexus 5 will running on Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

Here is the good news for the user who waiting the new gadget from LG. Because we got the new leaked picture of the new LG flagship smartphone, LG Optimus G2.

These pictures show more clearly the LG Optimus G2. As seen on the picture, the LG Optimus G2 will has very thin bezel on the phone and run the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating.

From the previous rumor, the LG Optimus G2 will powered by Snapdragon 800 and Adreno 330 GPU with 3 GB of RAM, and packs with 5.2-inch Full HD display, sports with 13 megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) technology.

The Global version of the LG Optimus G2 will only pack with 2GB of RAM, and the 3GB of RAM is only for LTE-Advanced version that only available in Korean market. According to rumors, the global version will be available on the market on August 2013, so let’s wait.

Previously, the Head of Marketing LG Mobile Won Kim said that the LG Optimus G2 will be unique and different, it is now leaked, @evleaks recently posted a photo that claimed as new LG smart phone has not been released. This photo is estimated as the LG Optimus G2.

Phone that looks quite attractive with a slim bezel design and premium materials that look pretty is touted to be equipped with Snapdragon 800 processor with support for the latest version of the Android operating system and Full HD 1080p screen resolution. This phone is rumored to be released in the third quarter of 2013.

Although not yet officially announced turns GLBenchmark results of LG Optimus G2 has exposure to the public through the Net. This phone looks come with name LG D801 which seems to be released by T-Mobile with a few specs :

• Running with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
• T-Mobile 4G LTE
• Screen resolution of 1080 x 1794 pixel
• MSM8974 (aka Snapdragon 800) chipset

Benchmark list above also shows 6435LVW aka HTC DROID DNA and the LG E975 (LG Optimus G), which appeared with the same test scores, even though it should get the higher scores given processor used better.

Keep in mind this is just the test results show 1080p Offscreen process, so that the results obtained by the LG Optimus G does not fully indicate the overall quality of the phone. It seems that when the release of the LG Optimus G2 will be approached, let’s us wait.
