Now, ahead of the official launch next week, details about the upcoming MacBook Pro models have surfaced online. This time, the information about the device’s specifications comes via Twitter user @dylandkt.

It is being claimed that the base model of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro will come with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. This is similar to the current generation’s high-end 13-inch and 16-inch models.

The leak also reveals that the laptop will feature a Mini-LED display and the bezels around the screen will be minimal, so thin that the bottom bezel won’t have a MacBook branding. Apple was testing a 120Hz refresh rate for the MacBook series but it is not yet confirmed if the laptop will come with support for the high refresh rate at launch.

Another major upgrade will be in terms of the webcam as the upcoming laptops are said to feature a 1080p webcam. It is also said that both base models will come with the same configuration and M1X chipset.

It is claimed that the company will be shipping the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with a new charging brick. Earlier, it was reported that the upcoming laptops from Apple will come with a new MagSafe charging port.

Coming to the pricing, the report hints that the pricing of the upcoming MacBook Pro models will be similar to how the laptops are priced right now. For more details, we will have to wait for the launch event to take place next week.

According to a DigiTimes report, industry sources close to the matter the supplier for the Cupertino based giant will begin the shipment of mini LED display components for the new MacBook Pro in Q3 2021. These displays are planned to ship for the 14 inch and 16 inch models of the high end Macbooks. This would mark the first time the iPhone maker will ship its MacBook with mini LED display technology.

Although, this isn’t the first product from the company to feature this display, as the company unveiled the new iPad Pro that sported the Mini LED panels. Furthermore, these MacBooks are set to launch with the an improved version of the M1 chipset. These notebooks are expected to feature a flatter top and bottom, with additional ports like an HDMI port, SD card slot, and even a magnetic power cable.

The new mini LED would also enable the brand to offer higher brightness along with improved contrast ratio. Keep in mind, this is still an unconfirmed report so take it with a pinch of salt, and stay tuned for more as we will be providing more updates when additional information or any interesting developments that surface in the arriving months.

According to a new video from Jon Prosser (Via 9To5Mac), the upcoming Mac mini with the next gen M1X chipset will introduce a new generation of industrial design for the company’s standalone Mac. In the video, Prosser claims that the 2021 Mac mini will feature a new chassis with a “plexiglass like” reflective surface on the top, which is a departure from the traditional aluminum enclosure. This model is apparently set to replace the higher end space grey Intel Mac mini in the lineup, while the M1 Mac mini will be the entry level model.

Notably, while the M1 Mac mini had a lack of ports due to limitations of the first gen Apple Silicon, the M1X will be able to offer a full lineup of ports. This includes four USB4/ Thunderbolt 3 ports, along with two USB Type A, Ethernet, and HDMI out ports as well. Furthermore, the Cupertino based giant will also be offering the magnetic power connecter that the company first introduced with its M1 iMacs.

Prosser added that the iPhone maker might offer a two tone color range with the new glass like finish on the M1X Mac mini, which will be similar to the new and colorful iMacs. Unfortunately, this is still an unconfirmed report and speculation at the moment, so take this report with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more, as we will be providing updates when additional information or notable developments surface regarding this device.

According to a TechRadar report, the Cupertino based giant is now readying to launch its upcoming 2021 MacBook Pro 16 inch with the new M1X chip. There were many reasons Apple had decided to shift to its own in house chips, like having a higher degree of optimization, lesser reliance on Intel’s update cycle for next gen chips, and others. The latest MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13 inch have arrived with the new M1 chip and would be the first of many future launches to feature the company’s custom chips.

A tweet from known leakster LeaksApplePro on Twitter revealed a few crucial details regarding the next gen Apple Silicon. As per the tweet, the Apple M1X chip will feature 12 cores, comprising of 8 performance cores and 4 high efficiency cores. It would arrive on the 16 inch MacBook Pro and will soon be unveiled in a press release.
