Vivo launched its innovative flagship, the Vivo NEX 3 in China back in September 2019. The phone came with a unique waterfall display with a curve that extends to both sides. After its China launch, the NEX 3 is making its way to Europe, with the first stop at Ukraine. The NEX 3 is up for pre-order at UAH17,999 ($715) right now and will start shipping in November.

The NEX 3 will be sold via Allo and Citrus in Ukraine, however, only Allo is offering the device at the above mentioned (UAH17,999) discounted price tag. If you are pre-ordering from Citrus, the NEX 3 will cost you UAH19,999 ($794) without the discount. Both third party retailers will start shipping the device from November 7.

This pricing is for the 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM variant, which is surprisingly close to its pricing in China. At its Chinese launch, the same variant was priced at 4998 yuan (~$709). So customers in Ukraine can get the device for almost the same price as in China. Note that this is the 4G variant and does not support 5G.

This Vivo NEX 3 Ukraine launch comes right after it was announced in Taiwan. Interestingly, Taiwan gets the 5G variant since the new generation network will launch very soon in the country.

Vivo took the wraps off the Vivo NEX 3 5G a couple of hours ago in China. It is the first phone in the world to feature a waterfall display featuring a curved display on the sides and no buttons on its body. Apart from its next-gen design, the phone also comes with high-end specifications including the new Snapdragon 855+ processor with up to 12GB of RAM. So, it’s not surprising that the NEX 3 managed to score really well on the AnTuTu benchmark.

The Vivo NEX 3 5G scored 493,787 points on the AnTuTu benchmark v8.0.9, which is pretty high for an Android device. The model in question had 8GB of RAM onboard with 256GB storage, which is the base variant of the 5G model. But we can expect the 12GB RAM model of the NEX 3 to score even higher on AnTuTu. This is because AnTuTu’s new version also considers the memory configuration of a phone while calculating the final score. Higher storage and RAM configurations get higher scores and vice versa. In fact, in the recent top 10 Android flagships on AnTuTu for August list, the storage configurations of each device were specifically mentioned for the first time.

The Vivo NEX 3 comes in two versions: 4G and 5G. The 4G model is priced at ¥4498 (~$636) while the 5G model starts with 8GB RAM for ¥5698 (~$806) and offers up to 12GB RAM for ¥6198 (~$877). You can read all about the Vivo NEX 3 5G from our launch coverage here.

Vivo’s product manager Li Xiang has been busy teasing the upcoming Vivo NEX 3 flagship. The NEX lineup has been special so far featuring interesting models such as the dual-screen Vivo NEX 2 or the original Vivo NEX which featured the world’s first pop up camera! The new NEX 3 is going to retain the same level of interest as its predecessors because it comes with a curved display with a very high screen to body ratio and what’s being called as the ‘waterfall screen’. And now, Vivo seems to be ready for the official announcement of the phone on Monday.

Earlier today, Vivo’s official NEX series Weibo account posted the following: ‘See you next Monday’. If that wasn’t enough of an indication for us to mark the day, Vivo’s own profile forwarded the same post and said ‘Ok, see you next week’. Given the timing of these posts, it’s being said that the company will announce the launch event for the NEX 3 on Monday. Ideally, it should be around mid-September but we’ll have to wait for an official date till next week.

The Vivo NEX 3 is confirmed to feature a high screen-to-body ratio with a waterfall display that’s curved on both sides. We can see bezels on the top as well as the bottom of the phone, so it’s not going to be a 100% bezel-less display as previously reported. Also, the image of the phone shows no notches or cut out cameras on the screen which could hint that it features a pop-up camera just like the first NEX series model. There are rumors about an in-display camera too but that’s highly unlikely. Even OPPO confirmed earlier that it hasn’t perfected this technology yet.

The NEX 3 is expected to feature the new Snapdragon 855 Plus processor with 5G support. The rear camera setup will be housed in a circular housing. The phone will also come with a headphone jack unlike other flagships in the market today.
