<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/">Nothing</a> is entering the over-ear headphone game—and it’s doing so in style. At its July 1 launch event in London, the company unveiled the Headphone (1), a transparent, feature-packed pair of wireless headphones priced at $299 (or ₹19,999 in India with early discounts). Launched alongside the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/07/01/nothing-phone-3-is-finally-official-with-glyph-matrix-amoled-display-50mp-cameras/">Nothing Phone (3)</a>, this marks the company’s first foray into the full-sized audio space.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="598" height="447" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-2.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-695134" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-2.png 598w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-2-300x224.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-2-562x420.png 562w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-2-80x60.png 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-2-265x198.png 265w" sizes="(max-width: 598px) 100vw, 598px" /></figure></div>

<p>Co-developed with British audio specialist KEF, the Headphone (1) combines Nothing’s signature transparent design with a lightweight aluminum frame and squircle-shaped earcups that reveal some of the internals. At 329g, they’re a tad heavier than <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/15/sony-wh-1000xm6-headphones-launched/">Sony’s WH-1000XM6</a>, but the use of memory foam and oil-resistant PU leather should keep them comfortable—though early impressions suggest they might slide around a bit during movement.</p>

<p>On the audio front, the headphones are powered by 40mm dynamic drivers and support adaptive bass tuning, spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, and strong active noise cancellation (ANC). According to early reviews, ANC and transparency mode perform reliably, while battery life stretches up to 80 hours (or around 35 hours with ANC on). A quick 5-minute charge gets you about 2.4 hours of playback with ANC on and 5 hours of playback with ANC off.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="637" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-1024x637.png?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-695135" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-1024x637.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-300x187.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-768x478.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-696x433.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-1068x664.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-675x420.png 675w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1-356x220.png 356w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/nothing-headphone-1.png 1471w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Controls are also a standout. A tactile roller on the earcup adjusts volume and playback, while a separate button gives quick access to AI assistants via the Nothing X app. There’s also an 8-band EQ for tuning the sound to your liking. Early impressions suggest the headphones are bass-forward.</p>

<p>Pre-orders open July 4, with full sales starting July 15 through Flipkart and select retail stores in India.</p>

<p>With bold aesthetics, KEF-tuned audio, and a long-lasting battery, the Headphone (1) is clearly aiming to take on the likes of the Sony WH-1000XM6 and AirPods Max. Whether it can truly compete will depend on real-world performance, but there’s no denying that Nothing’s first over-ear effort makes a strong first impression.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a>’s first pair of over-ear headphones, fittingly called the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/26/everything-we-know-about-the-nothing-headphone-1/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing Headphones (1)</a>, now has a full spec sheet, thanks to a report from<em> Android Headlines</em>. The company had already confirmed last month that its debut over-ears were coming sometime this summer. Now, ahead of the official <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/06/nothing-headphone-1-launch-date-confirmed-and-its-not-far-away/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">announcement on July 1</a>, we have more details about it. </p>

<h2><strong>Nothing Headphone (1) Specifications</strong></h2>

<p>Physically, the headphones are on the larger side. The headset itself measures 173.85 x 78 x 189.25 mm and weighs 329g, while the unusually large carrying case comes in at 220 x 220 x 52 mm and weighs 264g.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="547" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphones-1-Specifications.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-694859" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphones-1-Specifications.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphones-1-Specifications-300x182.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphones-1-Specifications-768x467.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphones-1-Specifications-696x423.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphones-1-Specifications-691x420.jpg 691w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The sound setup centers around 40mm dynamic drivers with a 16-ohm impedance and a PU diaphragm with a nickel coating. The audio is “sound by KEF,” a UK-based high-end audio brand known for its loudspeakers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The collaboration implies some level of tuning or partnership, though how deep it goes remains to be seen. The audio device will also have adaptive bass enhancement, spatial audio, and 8-band custom EQ settings. </p>

<p>For wireless audio, the headphones support AAC, SBC, and LDAC, covering both standard and high-resolution audio codecs. Active noise cancellation (ANC) tops out at 42dB and supports a 2,000Hz frequency range, along with a transparency mode.</p>

<p>There are three forms of physical control: a roll mechanism, a paddle, and a button. Connectivity is via Bluetooth 5.3 and supported by the Nothing X companion app on Android and iOS.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="531" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-2.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693271" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-2.jpg 531w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-2-266x300.jpg 266w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-2-372x420.jpg 372w" sizes="(max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px" /></figure></div>

<p>As for the battery, the Headphones (1) have a 1,040mAh battery that offers up to 80 hours of playback with ANC off (using AAC), dropping to 35 hours with ANC on. LDAC cuts that down to 54 and 30 hours, respectively. Nothing claims a 5-minute charge provides up to 5 hours of playback (ANC off), or 2.4 hours (ANC on).</p>

<p>Feature that round out the package includes Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, dual device connection, a personal sound profile, on-head detection, Find My Device support, a low lag mode for gaming or video, and a charging status LED.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a> has released a lot of earbuds so far. It all started with Ear 1, followed by Ear Stick, Ear 2, and then just Ear, no number. And more recently, we got the Ear (a) and Ear Open. All of these have Nothing’s signature transparent asthetics paired with a unique design that gives them a character of their own.&nbsp;</p>

<p>But even with that crowded lineup of earbuds, there’s been a pretty big gap in Nothing’s audio portfolio. No over-ear headphones. Until now.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="531" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-2.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693271" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-2.jpg 531w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-2-266x300.jpg 266w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-2-372x420.jpg 372w" sizes="(max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px" /></figure></div>

<p>Enter: Nothing Headphone (1). The company has officially confirmed it’ll launch its first pair of over-ear headphones <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/06/nothing-headphone-1-launch-date-confirmed-and-its-not-far-away/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">on July 1</a>, alongside the debut of the Phone (3). And in classic Nothing fashion, the Headphone (1) appears to be another playfully unconventional product.&nbsp;</p>

<h3><strong>A design that’s trying really hard to be </strong><strong><em>different</em></strong></h3>

<p>As you might expect from Nothing, the Headphone 1 doesn’t look like most headphones. For one, they’re partially transparent. But the transparency here is subtler and doesn’t reveal much about the internals of the headphone.&nbsp;</p>

<p>What’s even more interesting is that Nothing has decided to make the earcups <em>rectangular</em>. Not oval. Not circular. Just clean rectangles.&nbsp;</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="531" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-HeadPhone-1-Official-Render-1.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693273" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-HeadPhone-1-Official-Render-1.jpg 531w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-HeadPhone-1-Official-Render-1-266x300.jpg 266w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-HeadPhone-1-Official-Render-1-372x420.jpg 372w" sizes="(max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px" /></figure></div>

<p>Actually, the ear cups are a two-part affair. The bottom half appears to be made out of metal, while the top has an oval module that resembles a cassette tape. It’s all very on-brand for Nothing, a company that tends to flirt with retro nostalgia while trying to keep one foot in the future.&nbsp;</p>

<p>There are three physical buttons visible on it. The two are tucked on the side, and one is parked on the face of the cup. Minimalist, but maybe not minimal enough for the true purists.</p>

<p>Oh, and there seems to be no folding mechanism on the headband. You’re going to be wearing these around your neck or dedicating backpack space if you want to take them anywhere.</p>

<h3><strong>Sound by KEF</strong></h3>

<p>Despite the noise around the design, the Headphone 1 isn’t just about looks. This is also Nothing’s first over-ear venture into more premium audio territory, and they’re not going it alone.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to early information, the headphones are being co-developed with KEF, a respected name in the hi-fi world.</p>

<p>This has been confirmed as the Headphone (1) has “Sound by KEF” printed on the cups. Branding aside, we hope this sets the bar a little higher for what these cans should be able to deliver. Until now, Nothing’s earbuds have mostly lived in the “pretty good for the price” zone. This collaboration could push them into new territory.</p>

<h3><strong>Moving up the price ladder</strong></h3>

<p>The Nothing Headphone 1 will reportedly be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/03/nothing-phone-3-and-headphone-1-leak-reveals-colors-and-premium-pricing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">priced at <strong>$299</strong></a>, making it the most expensive audio product Nothing has ever released. That puts them well above the company’s earbuds (which generally hover between $99 and $149) and starts nudging into premium territory.</p>

<p>They&#8217;re still well under Apple’s AirPods Max ($549) and Sony’s WH-1000XM5 ($399), but this is Nothing testing the waters of a more upmarket tier. That might not seem like a huge leap for a company that’s been pushing design-forward gadgets from the start, but for consumers who’ve mostly seen Nothing as a stylish budget brand, it could take some re-framing.</p>

<p>That price also brings expectations—like active noise cancellation, multi-point connectivity, spatial audio, and decent battery life (Nothing hasn’t shared specs yet, but you’d expect at least 30–40 hours at this price point). Whether Nothing delivers on all of that is another question entirely.</p>

<h3><strong>Final words</strong></h3>

<p>Ultimately, Headphone 1 feels like a bet. Nothing is betting that people want headphones that don’t look like headphones. That transparency, rectangles, and tape-deck nostalgia still have enough cultural weight to draw attention, and that partnering with KEF will translate to more than just a logo on the side.</p>

<p>Whether this lands as a hit or not depends on more than just the look. It’ll come down to comfort, performance, battery life, noise cancellation, and the million other tiny things that define whether a pair of headphones becomes an everyday staple or an expensive curiosity.</p>

<p>But at the very least, it doesn’t look like anything else on the market. And that, for better or worse, is very Nothing.</p>

<p>The hype behind <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a>&#8216;s upcoming launch event is building up. The brand&#8217;s first ever &#8220;true flagship&#8221; phone is set to debut at the start of next month, along with a new audio product, the Nothing Headphone (1). This is the first-ever headphones from Nothing, and we finally have some details along with a proper look at its unique design. So let&#8217;s check it out.</p>

<h2>Nothing Headphone (1) certification reveals quite a bit</h2>

<p>Ahead of the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/06/nothing-headphone-1-launch-date-confirmed-and-its-not-far-away/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">July 1st announcement</a>, the Nothing Headphone (1) was spotted getting certified on Taiwan&#8217;s NCC database, carrying the B170 model number. The listing revealed a bunch of information, along with live images that showcase its over-the-ear design. We can see the headphones from multiple angles with the black earcups, rectangular shell that houses a transparent oval cassette-inspired module that houses the drivers. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1.jpg?x44794" alt="Nothing Headphone 1" class="wp-image-693811" /></figure></div>

<p>This gives it a unique retrofuturistic look. It is unclear whether we get the iconic Glyph LED interface with these new headphones, but more details and teasers should surface soon. Nothing is reportedly planning to release the Headphone (1) in multiple color options, which may include black, red, and a gray variant. The NCC certification houses a toggle for ANC or power, a microphone, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.</p>

<p>The USB cable included in the box can also be seen in this listing. One notable detail revealed by the certification is the sizeable 520mAh battery pack, which is expected to support 5W wired fast charging. The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/17/nothing-headphone-1-european-pricing-leaks-ahead-of-july-1-reveal/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">European pricing</a> of the Nothing Headphone (1) was recently revealed, hinting at a 299 Euro price tag. </p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nothing</a> is expanding its hardware lineup with the Headphone (1), the company’s first pair of over-the-ear headphones that will debut alongside the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/13/nothing-phone-3-everything-we-know-about-it/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Phone (3) on July 1</a>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Thanks to a fresh round of leaks, we’re now getting our clearest look yet at the Headphone (1). And in typical Nothing fashion, the design is anything but conventional.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-2 is-cropped">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="499" height="600" data-id="693272" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-3.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693272" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-3.jpg 499w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-3-250x300.jpg 250w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-3-349x420.jpg 349w" sizes="(max-width: 499px) 100vw, 499px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="531" height="600" data-id="693271" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-2.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693271" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-2.jpg 531w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-2-266x300.jpg 266w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Official-Render-2-372x420.jpg 372w" sizes="(max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="531" height="600" data-id="693273" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-HeadPhone-1-Official-Render-1.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693273" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-HeadPhone-1-Official-Render-1.jpg 531w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-HeadPhone-1-Official-Render-1-266x300.jpg 266w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-HeadPhone-1-Official-Render-1-372x420.jpg 372w" sizes="(max-width: 531px) 100vw, 531px" /></figure>
</figure>

<p>The standout feature here is a two-part earcup design. Up top, there&#8217;s an oval-shaped module encased in transparent plastic. And it rests on a metallic-looking plate with squared-off corners.</p>

<p>The design is a sharp contrast to the smooth, understated curves of rivals like <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/sony-wh-1000xm6/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sony’s WH-1000XM6</a> or <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/airpods-max/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Apple’s AirPods Max</a>. Instead, Nothing’s debut headset feels more like a precision-engineered gadget you’d expect to see in a design museum.</p>

<h2><strong>Nothing Headphone (1) in real life</strong></h2>

<p>And if you’re interested, here’s how the headphone looks in real life. It&#8217;s hard to say if this design will work for or against Nothing, but it&#8217;s clear the brand is leaning hard into its identity.&nbsp;</p>

<p>We can spot two buttons on the side and another one on the outer earcup. And a real-life image of the headphone also shows it connected with a 3.5mm cable, so it will have analog support.&nbsp;</p>

<figure class="wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-2 is-cropped">
<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="753" height="600" data-id="693274" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-real-life-image-2.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693274" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-real-life-image-2.jpg 753w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-real-life-image-2-300x239.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-real-life-image-2-696x555.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-real-life-image-2-527x420.jpg 527w" sizes="(max-width: 753px) 100vw, 753px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="753" height="600" data-id="693275" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Real-life-image-1.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693275" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Real-life-image-1.jpg 753w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Real-life-image-1-300x239.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Real-life-image-1-696x555.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-Real-life-image-1-527x420.jpg 527w" sizes="(max-width: 753px) 100vw, 753px" /></figure>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="336" height="600" data-id="693276" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-with-3.5mm-jack.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-693276" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-with-3.5mm-jack.jpg 336w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-with-3.5mm-jack-168x300.jpg 168w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Nothing-Headphone-1-with-3.5mm-jack-235x420.jpg 235w" sizes="(max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px" /></figure>
</figure>

<p>Perhaps the most important detail from the leaks is that the Headphone (1) will have its audio tuned by KEF. It&#8217;s a British audio company that specializes in all things audio, including speakers, subwoofers, and headphones.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Technical details around the headphones are still scarce, but we do know the expected pricing. An earlier leak claims the Headphone (1) will be sold for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/03/nothing-phone-3-and-headphone-1-leak-reveals-colors-and-premium-pricing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">$299 in the US </a>and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/17/nothing-headphone-1-european-pricing-leaks-ahead-of-july-1-reveal/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">€299 in Europe</a>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sales are expected to begin on September 30, two months after the official unveiling. And as you might’ve seen, it will be available in Black and White color options.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/nothing/">Nothing</a> is getting ready to make its mark in the over-ear headphone market. The company’s first full-sized headphones, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/06/nothing-headphone-1-launch-date-confirmed-and-its-not-far-away/">confirmed</a> to launch on July 1 alongside the Nothing Phone (3), have now had their European price leaked—offering a potentially strong alternative to more expensive rivals.</p>

<p>According to trusted leaker billbil-kun via Dealabs, the Nothing Headphone (1) will cost €299 in Europe. That puts them well below high-end options like Apple’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/12/08/apple-airpods-max-launched/">AirPods Max</a> (€509), and right in the mix with models like Sony’s <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/09/21/sony-wh-1000xm5-launched-in-india-with-special-pre-order-price/">WH-1000XM5</a>. The leak also suggests the headphones will be available in white, gray, and black, with sales expected to begin by September 30. According to a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/03/nothing-phone-3-and-headphone-1-leak-reveals-colors-and-premium-pricing/">previous leak</a>, the Headphone (1) will cost $299 in the US.</p>

<p>Nothing first teased the headphones back in May, <a href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&amp;rct=j&amp;q=&amp;esrc=s&amp;source=web&amp;cd=&amp;cad=rja&amp;uact=8&amp;ved=2ahUKEwipqc3E1_iNAxVmwzgGHQWpARkQFnoECBkQAQ&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gizmochina.com%2F2025%2F05%2F16%2Fnothing-just-made-bold-promises-for-its-first-over-ear-headphones-launching-this-summer%2F&amp;usg=AOvVaw2D4pK5QCOjzncXWKG72QW1&amp;opi=89978449">promising a fresh design language</a> and a focus on user-friendly controls. Instead of touch-sensitive surfaces, the Headphone (1) is hinted to feature physical buttons for playback and volume—a choice that makes it easier for users to identify and operate the controls without guessing.</p>

<p>The company also hinted at high-quality audio and a distinctive look, likely staying true to Nothing’s minimalist and transparent design ethos. Their recent partnership with British audio brand KEF also raises expectations for solid audio performance, though official specs haven’t been revealed yet.</p>

<p>With just a few weeks to go, anticipation is building. If Nothing can deliver the same blend of style, performance, and value that it has with its Ear series, the Headphone (1) could become a standout option in the premium audio space—without the premium price tag.</p>

<p>The Nothing Headphone (1) will be unveiled alongside the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/nothing-phone-3/">Nothing Phone (3)</a> on July 1 at 6 PM BST in London, which translates to 10 AM in Los Angeles, 1 PM in New York, 7 PM in Central Europe, and 10:30 PM in India. Announced by CEO Carl Pei at SXSW London, this global event marks Nothing’s bold entry into the premium over-ear audio space. The company has teamed up with British audio giant KEF, known for its top-notch sound quality, hinting that the Headphone (1) could deliver a serious sonic punch.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Fe1KcaWXEAUwinL-1024x683-1.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-690395" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Fe1KcaWXEAUwinL-1024x683-1.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Fe1KcaWXEAUwinL-1024x683-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Fe1KcaWXEAUwinL-1024x683-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Fe1KcaWXEAUwinL-1024x683-1-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/Fe1KcaWXEAUwinL-1024x683-1-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Nothing Headphone (1) fan concept</figcaption></figure>

<p>Nothing previously made some <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/16/nothing-just-made-bold-promises-for-its-first-over-ear-headphones-launching-this-summer/">bold promises</a> for its Headphone (1). While specifics are still under wraps, the KEF collaboration suggests these headphones might rival heavyweights like Apple’s AirPods Max, but with Nothing’s signature transparent aesthetic.</p>

<p>Rumors from earlier this year, sparked by a listing on the SGS Fimko certification site, first hinted at Nothing’s headphone plans, and now it’s official. However, there’s a bit of a twist—while the unveiling is set for July 1, a leak from tipster @MysteryLupin <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/06/03/nothing-phone-3-and-headphone-1-leak-reveals-colors-and-premium-pricing/">suggests</a> the Headphone (1) might not hit shelves until September, with a price tag around $299. That’s a steal compared to premium competitors, if true. Expect black and white color options, possibly with a gray variant, keeping Nothing’s minimalist vibe.</p>

<p>With the Phone (3) already pegged as a flagship contender, the Headphone (1) launch adds extra excitement to Nothing’s July event.</p>

<p>Nothing’s highly anticipated Phone (3) is set for a July 2025 unveiling, marking the brand’s shift from mid-range to flagship territory. According to leaker @MysteryLupin on X, the Phone (3) will launch in black and white, with a starting price of $799 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, and $899 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model. These prices align with CEO Carl Pei’s earlier tease of ~£800, but the US dollar pricing suggests a potential full US launch. The phone may ditch the iconic Glyph interface for a customizable dot-matrix display, though details remain unconfirmed.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Nothing is venturing into premium audio with its first over-ear headphones, Nothing Headphone (1), reportedly slated for release on September 30, 2025. Priced at $299 and available in black and white, they aim to compete with high-end models like Sony’s WH-1000XM6, but at a more accessible price point, per <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/16/nothing-just-made-bold-promises-for-its-first-over-ear-headphones-launching-this-summer/">a previous teaser from the brand</a>. While specs are scarce, Nothing’s track record with audio products like the Ear (2) suggests innovative features, likely including ANC and transparency modes.</p>

<p>With a rumored Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and triple 50MP cameras, the Phone (3) could challenge flagships like the upcoming Pixel 10 series and the S25 series. Here&#8217;s a sneak peak at the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/05/28/nothing-phone-3-teaser-peek-design/">Phone (3)&#8217;s design</a>. </p>

<p>Will Nothing’s premium pricing pay off, and can Headphone (1) disrupt the audio market? Expect more leaks as the launch nears.</p>
