OnePlus has been using OLED display on its smartphones since the OnePlus 3 (2016), however, the company is yet to introduce AOD (Always-on Display) functionality. Thankfully, there’s an Xposed module called OPAodMod which enables the said feature on Oneplus smartphones running both OxygenOS and HydrogenOS.

The OPAodMod is not a new Xposed module after all. It has been existing since last year but now it has been updated with new features after a hiatus as the original developer dropped support. This module is now maintained by an XDA Recognized Developer named Quinny899.

That being said since OPAodMod is an Xposed module, interested OnePlus users will have to root their device with Magisk and install either EdXposed with Riru Core or TaiChi to use this module.

Additionally, the developer is also working on to minimize the battery drain. We can expect this module to become much more stable before OnePlus releases the AOD feature officially.

For the unaware, OnePlus confirmed the arrival of AOD functionality to its devices lat March. Later, earlier this month, it also shared a rough timeline, according to which the development will only begin in June.
