Oppo Watch Free launched in Europe for €99

Back in September 2021, Oppo launched the Oppo Watch Free in the Chinese market. The smartwatch recently got released in the Indian market. And now, the smart wearable has finally been made available to European customers.

Coming to Europe, the smartwatch will pack a 1.64-inch AMOLED display with a 280 x 456 resolution, DCI-P3 color gamut, and a 326 PPI pixel density. The rectangular display is housed in a frame made of polycarbonate and fiber while the underside is covered in a material made of nylon plastic (PA) and fiber. Attached to the watch are silicone straps with a leather texture which OPPO claims are breathable and comfortable to wear during sleep.

The fitness tracker can track more than 100 sports modes including cricket, skipping, archery, skiing, volleyball, kayaking, and badminton. However, only four sports can be automatically tracked and they are running, walking, rowing (machine), and ellipticals. There is even a built-in trainer for running.

Other than sports mode, the OPPO Watch Free also comes with a SpO2 sensor for blood oxygen monitoring and a heart rate monitor that will warn users when the heart rate is too high or too low. There is also sleep tracking, snoring detection, music playback control and notifications, and call alerts.

The smart wearable has a 230mAh battery that will provide up to 14 days of usage. It also supports fast charging as OPPO claims a quick 5-minute charge will provide enough charge to last a day. It connects via Bluetooth 5.0 and it is compatible with Android devices running Android 6.0 and later as well as devices running iOS 10.0 and later.

Currently, Oppo has made the Watch Free available in two colors for European customers namely Black and Cream. The Oppo Watch Free will retail for €99 in the Eurozone and £89 in the UK. Oppo will begin selling the smartwatch on March 24.

Today(February 4th), Oppo took wraps off the Oppo Reno7 and Reno7 Pro phones in the Indian market. Apart from phones, the company also launched the Oppo Watch Free and Oppo Enco M32 in Green shade in India.

Oppo Watch Free

The Oppo Watch Free comes with a smart band-like design sporting a 1.64-inch touch color AMOLED panel. It has a 280 x 456 pixels resolution, 326 PPI pixel density, and DCI-P3 color gamut. It comes with more than 100+ sports modes including running, walking, rowing machine, elliptical machine, cricket, archery, volleyball, swimming, and more.

It comes with a heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, sleep tracker, and snoring detection. It can also control music and show notifications and call alerts. The smartwatch has a 230mAh battery that is claimed to offer 14 days of battery life. It also has fast charging support.

It has a 5 ATM water resistance rating and has Bluetooth v5.0 support. Following are its measurements – 46×29.7×10.6mm. As for the pricing, the Oppo Watch Free costs Rs. 5,999(~$80) in India and will be available on Flipkart and Oppo’s official websites. The company is yet to reveal the first sale date of the smartwatch.

Oppo Enco M32

Last month, Oppo launched the Enco M32 in India, but it was only available in the Black shade. Now, Oppo has officially launched the Oppo Enco M32 neckband earphones in the new Green color. It costs Rs. 1,799(~$24), but it will be available for Rs. 1,499(~$20) between February 9 to February 11 in India.

The Oppo Enco M32 comes with 10mm drivers and has independent bass chambers. It supports magnetic pause/play and on/off features. The neckband earphones have an omnidirectional MEMC microphone for calls and support ENC (Environmental Noice Cancellation) for calls.

It has Bluetooth v5.0 and is IP55 water and dust-resistant. The smartwatch has a 220mAh battery that is claimed to offer up to 28 hours of playback. It also has fast charging support with which one can enjoy 20 hours of music with just 10 minutes of charging.

OPPO is all set to launch the OPPO Reno7 series in India on February 4. At the same event, the company may introduce yet another product. According to tech influencer Mukul Sharma (via 91Mobiles), OPPO will be launching the OPPO Watch Free in India alongside the OPPO Reno7 series. This appears to be true as the accessory has been listed on the company’s official website.

The OPPO Watch Free went official at the end of September 2021. It is a fitness tracker disguised as a smartwatch with a 1.64-inch rectangular AMOLED display.

The wearable connects with smartphones running Android 6.0 or above and iOS 10.0 or above via Bluetooth 5.0. It offers over 100 workout modes, in addition to sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, and blood oxygen level monitoring,

Like most smart wearables, this one is also water-resistant up to 5 ATM. Hence, wearers can not only use it in rains but also take it for a swim.

Other regular features include multiple watch faces, call alerts, app notifications, alarm, weather, timer, music playback control, and find my phone to name a few. Finally, the OPPO Watch Free is rated to last for 14 days on a full charge.

OPPO has announced a new wearable today. The OPPO Watch Free arrives with the features expected of a health tracker but also adds some unique ones of its own.

The OPPO Watch Free has a 1.64-inch AMOLED display with a 280 x 456 resolution, DCI-P3 color gamut, and a 326 PPI pixel density. The rectangular display is housed in a frame made of polycarbonate and fiber while the underside is covered in a material made of nylon plastic (PA) and fiber. Attached to the watch are silicone straps with a leather texture which OPPO claims are breathable and comfortable to wear during sleep.

As expected, there is a heart rate monitor, and the OPPO Watch Free will display the five heart rate zones in real-time. It will also warn the user when the heart rate is too high or too low. There is also sleep tracking, snoring detection, music playback control, and support for WeChat and Alipay contactless payment. The wearable has an NFC version that allows you to store bus cards and bank cards for contactless payment. The OPPO Watch Free also comes with OPPO’s Breeno voice assistant with support for an offline mode.

One neat feature the OPPO Watch Free has is an eSports mode. When activated, all notifications and alerts are automatically sent to the watch instead of appearing on your phone. The eSports mode works only with the OPPO Find X3 series and Reno6 series. However, OPPO says that more of its phones will gain support later. There is also a sleep mode on the watch which when activated, turns on Do Not Disturb mode on your phone.

OPPO Watch Free officially confirmed to launch on September 26

OPPO has officially announced that it would launch a new smartwatch dubbed OPPO Watch Free in China. The company revealed this via a post on Weibo, indicating that the launch event will hold on September 26. The post is accompanied by renders of the device, giving us a good look at the design.

From the teaser poster, we can gather that the OPPO Watch Free will feature a vertically elongated rectangular display similar to that of the Huawei Watch Fit and the more recently announced Realme Band 2. The screen is surrounded by what we believe is a metal frame that is coated black on the black variant and gold on the beige model. The watch won’t have a phyical button just like the Realme Band 2. Instead, users will make do with the touchscreen display. In addition, the Watch Free will feature a textured rubber strap with ridges for breathability and comfort.

Te posters, the Watch Free will have some sort of sleep tracking that will allow you to wear it at night. We’ll know what kind of OS will the device run in two days, and we’ll also learn the exact pricing and availability details.

At the moment, other details of the smartwatch are still not in the open. However, we don’t expect its specifications to be as studded as the Watch 2. That also points at a cheaper price tag.

Apart from the Watch Freee, OPPO is also expected to launch the Oppo K9 Pro smartphone and a Smart TV on that same day.
