OPPO currently sells smartphones under five series, namely A, F, K, Reno, and Find. According to a tipster, the brand’s total lineup may increase to six soon. This is said to happen with the re-introduction of the OPPO N series.
OPPO launched only three devices under the OPPO N series. These were OPPO N1, OPPO N1 mini, and OPPO N3. All three phones had a unique rotating camera module, which enabled users to click high-quality selfies from the primary rear camera.
The camera modules on the first two OPPO N handsets had to be rotated manually. On the other hand, the third device had a motorized rotating camera module.
OPPO stopped releasing new phones under the N series after OPPO N3. In fact, the company dropped the rotating camera module design altogether.
Right now, the trend is under-display cameras. Hence, if the leaker is right and OPPO indeed brings back the OPPO N series from the dead, then there’s a chance that these phones may feature an in-screen camera.
As per Digital Chat Station, a reliable tipster from China, this lineup may cost around ¥4,000 ($618). In other words, the alleged new OPPO N series will sit between the OPPO Find and OPPO Reno series.
OPPO is yet to issue a statement regarding the OPPO N series. Until then, we cannot say for sure if the lineup will return.
