<p>OWC has unveiled the Thunderbolt Go Dock. The dock comes with an improved design and greater functionality. The absence of a power brick for the model means that the Thunderbolt Go comes lighter than previous models.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="606" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-1024x606.webp?x44794" alt="OWC Thunderbolt Go Dock" class="wp-image-515267" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-1024x606.webp 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-300x178.webp 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-768x455.webp 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-1536x910.webp 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-2048x1213.webp 2048w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-696x412.webp 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-1068x633.webp 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-1920x1137.webp 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-709x420.webp 709w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The new Thunderbolt Go has significant improvements over the regular USB docks we have come to see in the market. Apart from the chunky adapter that is omitted in the new model, it has a side-mounted uplink that has versatile support from the earlier USBs to Thunderbolt. It offers power delivery of up to 90W in addition to the dual Thunderbolt outputs. There is also a single HDMI port, a 2.5Gb Ethernet jack, and dual 10Gbps type-A ports. The Thunderbolt Go has an upgraded AC input, together with an SD card slot and a USB 3.2 type-C port.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="793" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-2.jpg-1024x793.png?x44794" alt="OWC Thunderbolt Go Dock" class="wp-image-515266" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-2.jpg-1024x793.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-2.jpg-300x232.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-2.jpg-768x595.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-2.jpg-696x539.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-2.jpg-1068x827.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-2.jpg-542x420.png 542w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/owc_thunderbolt_go_dock-2.jpg.png 1474w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The Thunderbolt Go is also a very portable dock and by far, the best dual-monitor OWC dock thus far. The Thunderbolt Go is priced in Europe at €325 (~$350). A special pre-order offer is available for the device at $335 ahead of its March 2023 launch. The new Thunderbolt Go seems to have outperformed the previous Thunderbolt docks across several aspects. The old Thunderbolts are however still available via Amazon.</p>
