Oneplus is rolling out a new public beta update for the OnePlus 8 series and 8T. For OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, the update arrives as OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 10. Whereas, for OnePlus 8T, this very same update is called OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 5.

The latest public beta update for the 2020 OnePlus flagship smartphones bumps up the security patch level to May 2021. Most importantly, it adds support for Bitmoji AOD. After installing the updates, users will have to download the Bitmoji app, log in to their account, and set Bitmoji AOD from Settings > Customization > Clock on ambient display > Bitmoji.

Further, like any other OxygenOS update, this one also brings tons of fixes and improvements. Some of these fixes are for audio recording issue with headphones, details page of Contact not displaying, calling content not displaying, occasional WiFi connection failure, and more.

Lastly, the update comes with improvements for audio experience and connection stability with OnePlus Buds/OnePlus Watch, video preview clarity under 4K 60FPS mode, text display of the Setup Wizard, and loading speed of the Privacy Policy page.

This update is currently rolling to users who are already on the previous OxygenOS Open Beta build. On the other hand, users on the ‘Stable’ channel can install this update by downloading the appropriate file from the OnePlus Software Upgrade page.
