Realme confirmed the pricing and availability details of its upcoming C61 budget phone earlier this week. Now, the Realme C61 has officially been launched in the Indian market. This device comes with a strong and durable build. So here are all the details.

Realme has announced the C61 in India in two color options, namely Safari Green and Marble Black. It is listed in three storage configurations, which includes the 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 128GB variants. It has a starting price tag of 7,699 INR for the base model, while the 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB options cost 8,499 INR and 8,999 INR respectively. Customers buying the most expensive model also get an instant 1,000 INR discount from the brand’s official website. Meanwhile, Flipkart is offering a 900 INR discount on ICICI, HDFC, Axis, SBI, and Flipkart Axis cards.

Realme has marketed the tough body of the new C61 model. The brand states that it comes with an ArmorShell Protection with an integrated metallic frame. It also comes with an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance along with reinforced glass for the screen. The front sports a tall 6.78-inch LCD panel that offers HD+ resolution, 560 nits of peak brightness, and 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is equipped with the UNISOC T612 SoC. Realme C61 supports virtal RAM expansion of up to 4GB and microSD card slot to bump the storage.

For optics, you get a 32-megapixel primary camera at the back along with a depth sensor, while the front houses a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. A large 5,000mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports standard 10W charging. The phone features an HD+ LCD display with a notch, likely to keep costs down. Under the hood, it retains the Unisoc T612 processor from its predecessor C51, but with the option for up to 6GB of RAM and expandable storage with up to 4GB of virtual RAM.

Realme touts the C61 as “tough as steel” thanks to its “integrated metallic frame” with “ArmorShell Protection.” The phone is IP54 certified for dust and splash resistance, and comes with “reinforced glass” for the screen, though the specific type remains undisclosed.

The device boasts a 32MP main camera paired with a depth sensor for enhanced photography. It is equipped with a 5000mAh battery, with the company claiming that it will retain over 80% of its capacity even after an impressive 1000 charging cycles.

The phone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a mini capsule feature, similar to the Dynamic Island on iPhones. This feature activates with certain apps or functions in the camera area, displaying corresponding animations or app pages.

To incentivize early adopters, Realme is offering a special bank offer on the 6GB+128GB variant, reducing the price to Rs. 8,099 ($97) for customers using ICICI, SBI, or HDFC bank cards.

The phone will go on sale on June 28th and it will be available to purchase through realme.com, Flipkart, and offline stores.

The Realme C61 is set to launch in India on June 28, Friday at 12 pm local time. As per the microsites, the smartphone will have a metallic frame with the power and volume rocker buttons located on the right side. The power button doubles up as a fingerprint scanner. The back panel has two camera rings under a glossy finish that appears rectangular in shape. 

On the front, the Realme C61 will feature a waterdrop notch display with a thick chin at the bottom. The device is said to be IP54-certified dust and water-resistant. Realme says that the upcoming smartphone has passed the German TUV Rheinland high-reliability certificate. The device will come in a Mint Green colour option. 

It’s just a matter of a few days before we learn the rest of the details about the Realme C61. It will arrive as the successor to last year’s Realme C51.

Realme is gearing up to launch a new budget smartphone, the C61, according to leaked information. The phone’s details have now surfaced online, including renders, specifications, and pricing, courtesy of a report by PassionateGeekz.

The leaked renders show the Realme C61 sporting a rear camera island reminiscent of the iPhone 15. Color options are expected to vary by region. In India, buyers will likely have a choice between Marble Black and Safari Green, while international markets might see Dark Green and Dark Black options.

On the display side, the Realme C61 is expected to feature an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels with a pixel density of 320 DPI. Under the hood, the phone is rumored to be powered by a Unisoc Speedtrum T612 chipset, a 4G-only processor. This will be paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, alongside storage options of up to 128 GB.

Endurance is seemingly a focus for the C61, with leaks suggesting a 5,000mAh battery. This will be backed by 45W fast charging support, allowing for quicker power top-ups. In terms of cameras, the phone is said to boast a 50MP main sensor on the back.

Now, the device has been spotted on the Google Play Console certification site revealing key details. It is expected to arrive as the successor to the Realme C51 from last year. The brand recently announced the budget C63 smartphone in the Indonesian market. 

Realme C61 appears on Google Play Console

The Realme C61 is listed with model number RMX3939 on the Google Play Console certification website. The render of the smartphone reveals a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout display. It is said to bear a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 320 dpi screen density. The back panel has a gradient design with three vertically stacked rings out of which two are camera sensors and an LED flash unit. It looks similar to the Realme C65 that was released in Vietnam in March this year. However, from the core specifications, the upcoming C61 does not seem to be the same as C65.

As per Google Play Console listing, the Realme C61 will be powered by a UniSoC Spreadtrum T612 processor along with a Mali G57 GPU. The former comprises two A75 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores ticking at 1.8GHz. The device is listed with 6GB RAM and we can expect more options at launch. It will ship with Android 14 OS out of the box. 

This is everything the Google Play Console listing reveals about the Realme C61. As per FCC, the Realme C61 is expected to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit. It will come with LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS connectivity options. Dimension-wise, the smartphone is said to measure 167.26 × 76.67 × 7.84mm and weigh 188 grams.

Following the recent launch of the Realme C63 in Indonesia, another C-series smartphone, the Realme C61, has surfaced on the Global Certification Forum (GCF). It suggests the brand is gearing up for another budget-friendly offering.

The smartphone showed up on the GCF listing with the model number RMX3939. The listing does not reveal the phone’s official name or specifications. But previous entries in the NBTC and Indonesia Telecom databases have linked this model number to the Realme C63.

The C61 will be the successor to the Realme C51, which shares many of its specifications with the Realme C53. So it is likely that the C61 will have similar specifications to the recently launched Realme C63.

If the C61 follows the C63’s blueprint, it could offer a 90Hz LCD display with 450 nits peak brightness, a UniSoC T612 processor paired with a Mali G57 GPU, and Realme UI based on Android 14.

In terms of camera, the C61 might sport a 50MP rear sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera, along with a 5,000mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC fast charging. Additionally, it could feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a dedicated microSD card slot, similar to the C63.

With the C63’s weight hovering around 190 grams, the C61 might also be similarly lightweight.

Although the exact specifications and launch date of the C61 are still unknown, its appearance on the GCF suggests that an official announcement could be made soon. We will keep you in the loop on any new developments about the smartphone.
