Oppo started pushing ColorOS 16 globally in November, first targeting the Find N5, Find N3 Flip, and Find X8 series. After updating most 2025 devices, the company is now bringing the Android 16-based update to older models.

According to posts on Oppo Community, the stable ColorOS 16 update is now available for the Reno 11 Pro (CPH2607_16.0.2.401), Reno 11 (CPH2599_16.0.2.400), Reno 10 Pro Plus (CPH2521_16.0.2.400), and F25 Pro (CPH2603_16.0.2.400). The rollout happens gradually and may take days or weeks to reach all devices across different regions. Users can check manually by going to Settings > System & Updates > Software Update.

ColorOS 16 features

ColorOS 16 (Global Version) is based on Android 16 and puts a clear emphasis on speed, smarter features, and smoother interaction across devices. At the core of the update are the new Luminous Rendering Engine and an updated Trinity Engine. Together, they improve overall system stability by 37% and make animations feel noticeably smoother, whether the phone is an entry-level model or a flagship.

The “Luminous” design idea also carries over to the interface. ColorOS 16 introduces a new Flux Home Screen with resizable, adaptive icons that adjust more naturally to different layouts. The Always-On Display has also been expanded to full screen and now transitions smoothly into the lock screen, which makes the entire unlock experience feel more fluid and connected.

AI plays a much bigger role this time, with deeper integration of Google Gemini. AI Mind Space acts as a central hub where users can collect, organize, and revisit notes or saved information. On the creative side, features like AI Portrait Glow and Master Cut aim to make advanced photo and video editing easier, without requiring much manual effort.

Connectivity has also been improved. O+ Connect offers better integration with both Mac and Windows systems, while the enhanced Touch to Share feature simplifies file transfers to iOS devices. For privacy, ColorOS 16 relies on a Private Computing Cloud to handle sensitive AI tasks securely. Overall, the update feels faster, more practical in daily use, and better suited for users who rely on multiple devices.

The Oppo Reno 11 series has finally arrived in the Indian market after launching yesterday in Malaysia. The series consists of two models: Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro. Both the devices feature a premium design and powerful camera setups specializing in taking portrait shots.

The Oppo Reno 11 comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED curved display offering 10-bit color, HDR support, and a peak brightness of 950 nits. Under the hood, the smartphone houses the Dimensity 7050 SoC, which is the rebranded Dimensity 1080 SoC. This chipset is also on board the Realme 11 Pro series, as well as the Oppo Reno 10 5G from last year.

It comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and offers storage options of 128GB or 256GB with UFS 3.1 technology. As for software, the device comes pre-loaded with Android 14-based ColorOS 14, with a commitment to 3 OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates.

With the camera being one of the major attractions of this device, the Reno 11 offers a 50MP Sony LYT600 primary sensor with ƒ/1.8 aperture and OIS stabilization. Along with that, the device also has an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera and a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto camera with 2X optical zoom that specializes in taking human portrait shots. On the front, it has a 32MP selfie snapper.

The device uses Oppo’s HyperTone Image Engine, a technology designed to deliver detailed photographs. Under the hood, the device features a MediaTek Dimensity 8200, a powerful mid-range chip also present in devices like the iQOO Neo 7 and Vivo V29 Pro.

It comes with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and a generous 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. As for software, the Android 14-based ColorOS 14 is available out of the box. Camera capabilities mostly mirror the Reno 11, with a 32MP 2x telephoto lens, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP front camera. However, the Pro model has the tried and tested 50MP IMX890 flagship-grade main sensor onboard for stellar photography performance. Available for pre-order on Flipkart, Oppo India online store, and offline outlets from January 12th, these smartphones will go on sale starting January 18th (Reno 11 Pro) and January 25th (Reno 11 5G).

As scheduled, Oppo has officially launched its latest Reno smartphones, the Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro, in Malaysia. While similar to its Chinese counterpart in many aspects, the global variants come with a few key differences under the hood. Let’s go through the details. 

Oppo Reno 11

The standard Reno 11 boasts a large 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+ support. However, it gets a slightly less powerful processor, the MediaTek Dimensity 7050, instead of the Dimensity 8200 found in the Chinese version. It is paired with 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. 

The camera setup on the Reno 11 remains the same as the China model, featuring a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 32MP telephoto sensor. For selfies, it comes with a 32MP camera on a punch-hole cutout. 

Moreover, it packs a 5000mAh battery — bigger than the China version which has a 4800mAh cell — and supports fast 67W SuperVOOC charging. Oppo claims the device can get fully juiced up in around 45 minutes. 

Oppo Reno 11 Pro

The Reno 11 Pro opts for a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor, instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip used in the Chinese model. The memory option includes 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Although its display mirrors the standard Reno 11’s size and features — a 6.7-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, and HDR10+ support — it is slightly less sharp than the Chinese Pro model at Full HD+ resolution. The camera configuration remains consistent with the China variant though, featuring a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 32MP telephoto camera, and a 32MP selfie camera.

Battery-wise, the Reno 11 Pro comes equipped with a 4600mAh battery, slightly less than the 4700mAh battery found in the Chinese version. The charging stays the same at 80W. 

Price and Availability

Both phones are available now through Oppo’s online store, brand stores, and authorized dealers in Malaysia. The Reno 11 costs RM 2,199 and is available in Wave Green and Rock Grey colors, while the Reno 11 Pro is priced at RM 2,499 and is available in Pearl White and Rock Grey.

In November 2023, Oppo introduced the Reno 11 series smartphones in its home market, featuring two models: Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro. The global debut for these devices is set for January 11, starting in Malaysia. There are indications that the Indian launch is imminent, as the landing page for the Reno 11 series is now active on both the Oppo India website and Flipkart.

The landing page on Flipkart has revealed a bunch of key details about the camera system onboard the Reno 11 Pro. It confirms that the device will feature an OIS-enabled 50MP primary camera, paired with a 112-degree ultra-wide camera (likely 8MP) and a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto portrait camera with 2x optical zoom. The front camera will also have a 32MP sensor with autofocus.

The 32MP telephoto camera will also be onboard the vanilla model, which will offer 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging. In contrast, the Reno 11 Pro will offer 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. Both devices are confirmed to debut with Android 14-based ColorOS 14.

No further details have been confirmed by the teasers, however, a recent leak has revealed that both the Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro global models could feature different SoCs compared to the Chinese variants. The vanilla Reno 11 is said to have a Dimensity 1080 onboard rather than the Dimensity 8200, whereas the Reno 11 Pro could feature Dimensity 8200 or a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. We expect other specifications to remain similar to the Chinese models.

In related news, Oppo is also preparing to launch its flagship Find X7 series smartphones on January 8. Ahead of the launch, hands-on videos of the Find X7 have leaked online revealing the complete design and color options.

The Reno 11 Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, while the Reno 11 uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8200. Both phones come with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage.

The landing page of the Reno 11 series available on Oppo Malaysia’s website has confirmed a few details. Both phones will be the first Oppo devices to come preloaded with ColorOS 14 on the global market. Both devices are also confirmed to feature a 32-megapixel telephoto camera for portrait shots.

The Reno 11 will support 67W fast charging, whereas the Pro model will offer 80W rapid charging. It appears that the brand will confirm more details about the Reno 11 duo in the coming days before the Malaysian launch. Recent reports have revealed that the Reno 11 series heading to the global market will be different from the Reno 11 and 11 Pro that debuted in China in November of this year.

In related news, Oppo is all set to unveil the Find X7 and X7 Ultra on Jan. 8 in China. The Dimensity 9300 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets power the two phones, respectively. There will be a Find X7 Ultra Satellite Communication Version model that will have support for two-way satellite communication. Oppo recently unveiled the Reno 11 series of smartphones in China. Now, it appears that the global launch of the lineup is just around the corner as well, with the Reno 11 5G global model surfacing on BIS, FCC, and GeekBench.

Oppo Reno 11 5G Global Model

Last week, the Reno 11 Pro was spotted on the TDRA certification platform. Now, the base model of the series visited BIS and FCC certification databases. Looking at these listings, the Reno 11 5G was seen carrying the CPH2599 model number. The BIS certification basically confirms the device’s Indian availability, while the FCC certification revealed that the smartphone will run on ColorOS 14 out of the box. Furthermore, it also confirmed support for NFC and 5G support.

This listing listed the device to feature a 4,870mAh battery pack that supports 67W fast charging. Lastly, the Oppo Reno 11 was even sighted on GeekBench. Interestingly, the benchmarking platform shows that the base Reno 11 global variant will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC instead of the Dimensity 8200. This processor is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and the device runs on Android 14 OS out of the box.

In other words, it is unclear if the global Reno 11 will be the same as the Reno 11 in China or whether it is a cutdown version of the same. For those unaware, the Reno 11 launched in China with a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display on the front, while the rear packs a 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 primary sensor. Oppo Reno 11 series pre-reservations have surpassed 250,000 units in China almost within a week of commencement. Notably, over 100,000 of those pre-reservations were made within the first 24 hours. Pre-booking for the new smartphones began on November 14.

According to a report by Mydrivers, the Oppo Reno 11 series has now garnered over 220,000 reservations on the Oppo Mall platform, with an additional 30,000 reservations secured through Oppo’s official JD.com store. 

These figures exclude pre-reservations made on other major platforms such as TMall and Pinduoduo. The Oppo Reno 11 series is set to launch on November 23, the same day that Nubia and Honor are also set to unveil their new products.

Oppo Reno 11 Series Specifications (Expected)

Leaks indicate that the Oppo Reno 11 series will consist of two models: the standard Oppo Reno 11 and the premium Oppo Reno 11 Pro. 

The Oppo Reno 11 is rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, while the Oppo Reno 11 Pro is expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.

Both models are anticipated to sport a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The rear camera setup is likely to include an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide sensor, a 32MP Sony IMX709 2x telephoto lens, and a primary camera with different specifications for each model. 

The Oppo Reno 11 Pro is expected to boast a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor, while the Oppo Reno 11 may feature a Sony LYT-600 primary sensor.

Likewise, both smartphones are expected to run on ColorOS 14, Oppo’s proprietary operating system based on Android. The Oppo Reno 11 is rumored to support 67W fast charging, while the Oppo Reno 11 Pro is likely to offer faster 80W fast charging capabilities.
