According to an official announcement, Samsung will enable AI assistant activation through the side button on select Galaxy A series smartphones. <h3><strong>Gemini AI side button feature to be released for Galaxy A users</strong></h3>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samung-Galaxy-A-series-to-get-Gemini-AI-side-button-function.jpg?x44794" alt="Samung Galaxy A-series to get Gemini AI side button function" class="wp-image-684410" width="752" height="422" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samung-Galaxy-A-series-to-get-Gemini-AI-side-button-function.jpg 1000w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samung-Galaxy-A-series-to-get-Gemini-AI-side-button-function-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samung-Galaxy-A-series-to-get-Gemini-AI-side-button-function-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samung-Galaxy-A-series-to-get-Gemini-AI-side-button-function-696x391.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Samung-Galaxy-A-series-to-get-Gemini-AI-side-button-function-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="(max-width: 752px) 100vw, 752px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy A-series to get Gemini AI side button function</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>Through an upcoming software update, Samsung will allow Galaxy A-series users to launch Gemini, Google’s AI-powered assistant, by simply pressing and holding the side key—functionality that was previously exclusive to the Galaxy S series. This addition builds on Samsung’s earlier introduction of “Awesome Intelligence” for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a56/">Galaxy A56 5G</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a36/">Galaxy A36 5G</a>, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a26/">Galaxy A26 5G</a>. With Gemini integration, users will be able to perform a wide range of actions using voice commands, from checking calendars and getting birthday gift ideas to finding nearby restaurants.</p>

<p>The AI assistant can also handle cross-app actions. For instance, a user can search for a dinner spot via Google Maps and send the location through Messages—all in a single voice command. The company says this enhancement reflects its continued partnership with Google to deliver meaningful, intuitive AI tools on more affordable devices.</p>

<h3><strong>Rollout schedule and eligible devices</strong></h3>

<p>The software update enabling Gemini access via the side button will begin rolling out globally in early May. Devices confirmed to receive the update include the Galaxy A56 5G, A55 5G, A54 5G, A36 5G, A35 5G, A34 5G, A26 5G, A25 5G, A25e 5G, and A24 running One UI 7. Availability and supported features may vary by region, carrier, and device model.</p>

<h2><strong>Design and build</strong></h2>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="768" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Sasmsung-Galaxy-A56-left-and-Galaxy-A36-right_-1024x768.jpg?x44794" alt="Sasmsung Galaxy A56 (left) and Galaxy A36 (right)_" class="wp-image-678355" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Sasmsung-Galaxy-A56-left-and-Galaxy-A36-right_-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Sasmsung-Galaxy-A56-left-and-Galaxy-A36-right_-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Sasmsung-Galaxy-A56-left-and-Galaxy-A36-right_-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Sasmsung-Galaxy-A56-left-and-Galaxy-A36-right_-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Sasmsung-Galaxy-A56-left-and-Galaxy-A36-right_-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Sasmsung-Galaxy-A56-left-and-Galaxy-A36-right_-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Sasmsung-Galaxy-A56-left-and-Galaxy-A36-right_-1920x1440.jpg 1920w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Sasmsung-Galaxy-A56-left-and-Galaxy-A36-right_-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Sasmsung-Galaxy-A56-left-and-Galaxy-A36-right_-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Sasmsung-Galaxy-A56-left-and-Galaxy-A36-right_-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Sasmsung-Galaxy-A56-left-and-Galaxy-A36-right_.jpg 2000w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy A56 (left) and Galaxy A36 (right)_</figcaption></figure></div>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a35">Galaxy A35</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a55">A55 </a>from last year featured separately placed triple camera sensors. However, the Galaxy A36 and A56 come with a single vertical camera module that houses all three cameras under reinforced glass. When you run your finger across the camera module of the A56, you can feel the individual camera sensors, whereas the glass layer on the A36 is completely flat. Since the camera island is placed in the upper left corner, these phones won’t lay flat unless used with a case.</p>

<p>Samsung has also reduced the bezel size on both models compared to their predecessors. The right edges on both devices retain the noticeable bulge, which houses the volume rocker and power button.</p>

<p>Both phones offer IP67-rated dust and water resistance and feature Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for the back and display. While the A36 has a plastic frame, the A56 features a metal frame. The build quality is impressive for mid-range models, but frankly speaking, it is not easy to distinguish between the two phones as they appear identical.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a56/">Galaxy A56</a> and A36 weigh slightly under 200 grams. The good thing is both phones are quite slim as they measure only 7.4mm in thickness. The Awesome Lavender variant of the A36 that I received reflects holographic shades when light falls on the back, whereas the Olive edition of the A56 that I got has a more muted appeal.</p>

<p>The Galaxy A56 and<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a36"> Galaxy A36 </a>both feature a 6.7-inch display, which is slightly larger than their predecessors. They promise a peak brightness of 1,900 nits and achieve 1,200 nits in high brightness mode. Both models support an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. While both phones offer the same display size, they seem to feature different display panels, with the A56 sporting a better one. The display-integrated fingerprint sensor is positioned well and works fine. The upper speaker is lodged in the top bezel and the bottom-firing speaker produces a balanced audio output.</p>

<p>The Galaxy A56 gets the Exynos 1580 chip, while the A36 has the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/snapdragon-6-gen-3">Snapdragon 6 Gen 3</a> onboard. Both devices are not performance-focused chipsets but are good enough for daily use. The<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/exynos-1580"> Exynos 1580</a> is a brand-new chip equipped with an AMD-based GPU and an NPU with 147 TOPS, which means it’s a major upgrade over the Exynos 1480 from last year. Both phones are equipped with LPDDR4x RAM. While the A36 has UFS 2.2 storage, the A56 gets the faster UFS 3.1 storage.</p>

<p>One of the major attractions of the Galaxy A56 and A36 is that they come equipped with One UI 7-based Android 15, like the Galaxy S25 series. Both devices are also promised to receive six years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. There are plenty of preloaded apps from Samsung, Google, and other providers, but none of them show annoying notifications.</p>

<p>The Galaxy A56 gets its own version of AI features dubbed as Awesome Intelligence, which includes Circle to Search, AI Select, Custom Filter, Edit Suggestions, Object Eraser, and Read Aloud. On the other hand, the Galaxy A36 has a few of these features, such as Circle to Search, Custom Filters, and Object Eraser.</p>

<p>The Galaxy A36 and A56 are equipped with a 12-megapixel front-facing camera that supports 10-bit 4K 40fps video recording. On the back, the A36 features a 50-megapixel (OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 5-megapixel (macro) triple-camera system, whereas the A56 sports a 50-megapixel (OIS) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 5-megapixel (macro) setup. While the rear camera megapixel count remains the same as their predecessors, both phones deliver decent shots in various lighting conditions. Here are some sample shots captured using both phones.</p>

<p>The Galaxy A56 and A36 both pack a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. A fun fact is that even the Galaxy S25 does not support 45W rapid charging, as it supports 25W charging because it packs a comparatively smaller battery inside a compact form factor. In terms of connectivity, both phones support eSIM, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 (A36) / Bluetooth 5.3 (A56), and NFC. The previous generation featured a hybrid SIM slot, which allowed users to add a microSD. The company has axed support for microSD cards on the A36 and A56.</p>

<p>The Galaxy A56 positions itself as the more capable model, featuring a metal frame, faster UFS 3.1 storage, a powerful Exynos 1580 chip, and a slew of AI features. The Galaxy A36, while slightly less premium with its plastic frame and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, still delivers a smooth experience with essential AI functions like Circle to Search and Object Eraser. Both devices pack a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, IP67 water resistance, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging, ensuring a well-rounded experience.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/02/28/samsung-galaxy-a26-a36-and-a56-launch-confirmed-for-march-2/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">As expected</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung </a>has officially unveiled the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a56/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy A56</a> with a refreshed design, faster 45W charging, and the company’s in-house Exynos 1580 chipset. But the real headline here is AI—or as Samsung calls it, Awesome Intelligence.</p>

<p>Samsung has been pushing its AI features for flagship devices like the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-s25-ultra/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Galaxy S25 Ultra </a>under the Galaxy AI branding, but the A56 gets its own fork.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Awesome Intelligence, according to Samsung, is the first comprehensive mobile AI exclusively available on Galaxy A56 5G. That said, it’s not a full port of Galaxy AI—some flagship features remain exclusive to premium models.</p>

<h2><strong>What Awesome Intelligence (AI) features does the Galaxy A56 get?</strong></h2>

<p>The Galaxy A56 still packs some of the most hyped AI tools, including: </p>

<ul><li>Circle to Search, a Google-powered feature that lets you search anything on-screen with a simple gesture. </li><li>Best Face, which allows you to choose the best facial expressions for up to five people from a motion photo. </li><li>Object Eraser, to remove unwanted objects from photos. </li><li>Filters, which let you generate custom filters based on the colors and style of your own images.</li></ul>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="512" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-Awesome-Intelligence-1024x512.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy A56 Awesome Intelligence" class="wp-image-675354" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-Awesome-Intelligence-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-Awesome-Intelligence-300x150.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-Awesome-Intelligence-768x384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-Awesome-Intelligence-696x348.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-Awesome-Intelligence-1068x534.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-Awesome-Intelligence-840x420.jpg 840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-Awesome-Intelligence.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>All these Awesome Intelligence features are baked into <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/02/28/one-ui-7-update-eligible-devices-list-release-date-and-new-features/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">One UI 7</a>, which is based on Android 15. And Samsung is offering a flagship-level software support promise for the phone—six years of Android upgrades and security patches.</p>

<h2><strong>A new Exynos chip, a vapor chamber, and a brighter display</strong></h2>

<p>At the heart of the Galaxy A56 is the Exynos 1580, paired with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. Samsung says the phone also includes a large vapor chamber for better thermal management.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-color-options.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-675355" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-color-options.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-color-options-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-color-options-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-color-options-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-color-options-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>The device features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It boasts 1,200 nits of HBM brightness and 1,900 nits peak brightness, all protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+. The back panel also gets the Victus+ treatment, while the frame is made of aluminum.</p>

<p>The Galaxy A56 has also received a slight design refresh compared to its predecessor. Instead of separate camera rings like on the Galaxy A55, Samsung has now switched to a pill-shaped module that houses all three lenses — a 50MP f/1.8 main, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro camera. On the front, there’s a 12MP f/2.2 selfie camera.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" width="900" height="600" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-software-updates.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-675356" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-software-updates.jpg 900w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-software-updates-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-software-updates-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-software-updates-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Samsung-Galaxy-A56-software-updates-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure></div>

<p>Powering everything is a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging—making it Samsung’s first non-flagship phone to support this speed. According to Samsung, it can go from 0 to 100% in just 1 hour and 8 minutes.</p>

<h2><strong>Galaxy A56 pricing and availability</strong></h2>

<p>The Galaxy A56 will be available in four colors: </p>

<ul><li>Awesome Pink</li><li>Awesome Olive</li><li>Awesome Graphite</li><li>Awesome Light Gray</li></ul>

<p>Here’s how pricing breaks down across different markets:</p>

<p><strong>USA</strong></p>

<ul><li>128GB – $499</li></ul>

<p><strong>Europe</strong></p>

<ul><li>128GB – €479</li><li>256GB – €529</li></ul>

<p><strong>UK</strong></p>

<ul><li>256GB – £499</li></ul>

<p>The 128GB variant will be the only option in the US, while Europe and the UK will also get the 256GB model.</p>

<p>Last month, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/category/samsung">Samsung</a> unveiled the Galaxy S25 series of flagship phones. This month, the brand is expected to launch a couple of budget-friendly phone, such as the Galaxy F06 and A06. Just as the brand unveiled the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a55">Galaxy A55</a> and A35 in March 2024, the South Korean tech giant is expected to take off covers from the Galaxy A56 and A36 in March. Ahead of the expected launch, prominent leaker Evan Blass has shared 360-degree images of the Galaxy A56 to showcase its design and color options.</p>

<h3><strong>Samsung Galaxy A56 design, color options</strong></h3>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="550" height="978" data-id="672857" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/unnamed-3.gif?x44794" alt="Samsung Galaxy A56" class="wp-image-672857"/><figcaption>Samsung Galaxy A56</figcaption></figure>

</figure>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a56/">Galaxy A56’s</a> 360-degree images show that it will be available in at least four colors: grey, pink, black, and green. The CAD renders of the phone that emerged in November 2024 revealed a redesigned look. The new images corroborate the CAD renders, revealing a redesigned camera module.</p>

<p>As can be seen, the Galaxy A56’s rear camera module has a single protruding unit, which houses three camera sensors, with the LED flash unit alongside. The phone continues to sport “Key Island,” which was introduced with the predecessor model last year. It features a noticeable bump on the right edge where the power button and volume rocker are present. The back panel of the phone is said to be made from glass.</p>

<p></p>

</figure>

<p>As far as build is concerned, the Galaxy A56 is said to have an aluminium frame and a glass back. On the front, it has a punch-hole AMOLED panel surrounded by thin bezels, except for the bottom bezel, which is noticeably thick.</p>

<h3><strong>Samsung Galaxy A56 specifications (rumored)</strong></h3>

<p>The Galaxy A56 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device will be powered by the all-new <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/exynos-1580">Exynos 1580</a> chipset, paired with <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/02/samsung-galaxy-a56-has-appeared-geekbench/">up to 12GB of RAM</a> and up to 256GB of storage. It may house a 5,000mAh battery with support for <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/11/19/galaxy-a56-5g-spotted-on-3c-certification-listing-with-45w-charging-support/">45W fast charging</a>.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/12/31/galaxy-a56-specifications-and-price-leaked-more-ram-faster-charging/">For optics</a>, the A56 may come with a 12-megapixel front camera and a triple camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50-megapixel (OIS) primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro lens. The device is expected to run One UI 7, based on Android 15, out of the box. It may arrive with support for up to <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/27/samsung-galaxy-a56-12mp-front-camera-leak/">six years of Android OS upgrades</a>.</p>

<p>The <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a36/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Samsung Galaxy A36 5G</a> and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/samsung-galaxy-a56/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">A56 5G</a> have taken another step towards their anticipated release as both devices recently received certification from the Global Certification Forum (GCF). </p>

<p>The phones, bearing model numbers SM-A366B/DS and SM-A366B for the A36 5G, and SM-A566B/DS and SM-A566B for the A56 5G, are confirmed to support a range of network technologies, including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G. The GCF listing also suggests that both handsets will include NFC support, a standard feature for contactless payments and other interactions.</p>

<p>The A56 5G, in particular, has been making the rounds in certification circles. Prior to the GCF approval, it appeared on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/26/samsung-galaxy-a56-fcc-certifications/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">FCC</a>, SIRIM, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/24/samsung-galaxy-a56-galaxy-a36-galaxy-a26-gets-tuv-rheinland-certification-ahead-of-launch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">TUV Rheinland</a>, MIIT, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/09/samsung-galaxy-a56-appears-on-certification-site-with-a-redesigned-back-cover/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">TENAA</a>, <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/11/19/galaxy-a56-5g-spotted-on-3c-certification-listing-with-45w-charging-support/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">3C</a>, EMVCo, BIS, and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/02/samsung-galaxy-a56-has-appeared-geekbench/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Geekbench</a> databases. </p>

<h2><strong>What can you expect?</strong></h2>

<p>According to previous reports, the Galaxy A56 will be powered by Samsung&#8217;s Exynos 1580 processor, reportedly clocked at 2.91 GHz, and incorporating the Xclipse 540 GPU. Android 15, layered with One UI 7, is expected to be the operating system.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Moreover, the phone could offer 8GB of RAM as the base, a triple rear camera setup, a 12MP front-facing camera, and a 4,905 mAh battery with 45W fast charging capabilities.</p>

<p>The A36 5G, while less extensively leaked, has also surfaced in various certifications. It has been spotted at TUV Rheinland and <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/17/samsungs-mid-range-phone-for-2025-makes-its-first-geekbench-debut/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Geekbench</a>, suggesting an impending launch. </p>

<p>It is rumored to come with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, 6GB of RAM, a 50MP triple rear camera system, and a 12MP selfie camera.</p>

<p>Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed launch dates for its upcoming A-series phones, but reports suggest they <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/23/samsung-galaxy-a56-galaxy-a36-tipped-to-launch-by-mid-march-2025/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">could debut in mid-March.</a> Before that, the company might introduce the Galaxy F16, which has already entered its pre-launch teaser phase. The Galaxy A36 and A56 are likely to follow shortly after.</p>

<p>The Galaxy A56 5G, identified by its SM-A566E/DS model number, recently received FCC certification (spotted by MySmartPrice), confirming its connectivity features. The device will support a broad range of network technologies, including GSM, WCDMA, LTE FDD, and 5G. Supported 5G bands include n1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40, 41, 66, 77, and 78. Additionally, the smartphone will offer Bluetooth, NFC, GNSS, and Wi-Fi (802.11.b/g/n/a/ac/ax) connectivity.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="576" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Galaxy-A56-design-render-1024x576.jpg?x44794" alt="" class="wp-image-661685" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Galaxy-A56-design-render-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Galaxy-A56-design-render-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Galaxy-A56-design-render-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Galaxy-A56-design-render-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Galaxy-A56-design-render-1068x601.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Galaxy-A56-design-render-747x420.jpg 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Galaxy-A56-design-render.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>The FCC certification also tested the Galaxy A56 5G with the EP-TA800 adapter, which supports 25W charging. However, both the FCC and earlier TENAA certifications confirm that the device will support 45W wired fast charging. The smartphone will feature a 4,905mAh rated battery. </p>

<p>Other than the above mentioned details, we expect the Galaxy A56 5G to be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1580 processor, paired with 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB RAM and storage configurations. The device was recently spotted on <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2024/10/02/samsung-galaxy-a56-has-appeared-geekbench/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Geekbench</a>, showcasing its performance potential. It will launch with Android 15 out of the box, layered with Samsung’s One UI 7.0, expected to include the latest AI-driven features.</p>

<p>In other news, Samsung also teased the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2025/01/23/galaxy-xr-headset-samsungs-project-moohan-revealed-at-unpacked-2025/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">‘Project Moohan’ XR headset</a>, Samsung’s entry into extended reality, running on Android XR with eye tracking, hand gestures, and voice controls. The device will feature OLEDoS displays, Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2, and Google’s Gemini AI, with an expected price of over $2,000 and a 2025 release.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/categorysamssung">Samsung</a> has been following a pattern of launching new A-series smartphones within the first quarter of the year, usually a couple of weeks after announcing its Galaxy S-series flagship phones. The South Korean brand has just launched the Galaxy S25 series in multiple markets across the globe, and it appears that the company may soon launch new A-series phones, such as the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Abhishek Yadav, has revealed the launch timeframe for both smartphones.</p>

<h3><strong>Samsung Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36 launch timeframe (rumored)</strong></h3>

<p>According to the tipster, the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 will debut by mid-March globally, including the Indian market. Since the brand has just launched its new flagship phones, it is likely that the company will start teasing the arrival of the A56 and A36 in February.</p>
