Segway has released the Kickscooter GT2P in Europe. The Segway Kickscooter GT2P is a slight upgrade of the Kickscooter GT2 released in March last year and it comes as a 1WD or 2WD electric scooter and can reach a top speed of 70km/h. The Kickscooter GT2P accelerates from 0 to 48km/h in under 4 seconds and it has a range of 90km.

The Segway Kickscooter GT2P is equipped with an electric motor that peaks at 6kW which yields its top speed of 70km/h. Apart from the two drive options (front-wheel drive (1WD) or combined front and rear-wheel drive (2WD)), a Boost mode delivers the maximum acceleration. The Kickscooter GT2P also features Eco, Park and Walk modes. Due to speed restrictions, the scooter can only be used on private property such as race tracks under current EU regulations.

The Kickscooter GT2P has an integrated OLED display that allows you to view ride information such as your speed and battery level. The Segway-Ninebot app provides an additional option for controlling and accessing the information on the GT2P. The e-scooter is equipped with a 1,512Wh battery and the GT2P is powerful enough to navigate through 30% inclines. The Kickscooter GT2P is pretty maintenance-free with its tubeless pneumatic 11-inch tires self-healing. In addition, front and rear dual-arm suspensions help to make the ride as comfortable as possible.

Front and rear disc brakes provide stopping power for the Segway Kickscooter GT2P. The scooter is equipped with a 9W LED headlight; rear and brake lights, and turn indicators for safety while riding. The scooter weighs 52.6kg and has a carrying capacity of up to 150kg. The Segway Kickscooter GT2P is currently available in France, Spain, and the Netherlands for €2,999 (~$3,289). The Kickscooter GT2P may subsequently enter other markets in Europe and elsewhere.
