<p>In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Tab A8 features a 10.5-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The slate also comes with four speakers with Dolby Atmos support.</p>
<p>The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is powered by an unnamed chipset that provides 10% higher CPU performance as well as 10% faster GPU. The chipset is unofficially revealed to be a Unisoc Tiger T618 chipset which is built on a 12 nm process packing two Cortex-A75 cores and six A55 cores. The chipset bundles a Mali G52 MP2 GPU. We can&#8217;t say for sure if fans will find it appealing switching from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chip used on the Galaxy Tab A7 to this UNISOC chip even though on paper, it brings an upgrade in the performance. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-431183" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy Tab A8" width="1200" height="800" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></a></p>
<p>The processor is paired with 3GB RAM / 4GB RAM while there are 32GB and 64GB storage options onboard. There is a MicroSD slot for memory expansion. There is also a 5MP camera at the front as well as an 8MP rear camera.</p>
<p>The Samsung slate will likely run on Android 11 based OneUI 3.1 as it comes with split-screen multitasking and floating windows as well as support for Drag &amp; Split which was rolled out on the 2020 Galaxy flagships with One UI 3.1.1 earlier in the year. Other features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5, 3.5mm audio jack, USB 2.0 port, and more.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-4.jpg?x10805"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-431186" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-4.jpg?x10805" alt="Samsung Galaxy Tab A8" width="1200" height="2163" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-4.jpg 1200w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-4-166x300.jpg 166w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-4-768x1384.jpg 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-4-568x1024.jpg 568w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-4-696x1255.jpg 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-4-1068x1925.jpg 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-A8-10.5-4-233x420.jpg 233w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></a></p>
<p>Keeping the light on is a mammoth 7,040mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging but the slate ships with a 7.5W charger.  The tablet will be available in Pink Gold, and a combo of Gray and Silver.</p>
<p>As for the pricing and availability, the Galaxy Tab A8 (2021) carries a starting price of €230 in the Netherlands. It is expected to be available in Europe later this month while in the US and other regions, it will ship in January 2022.</p>
