Tesla has launched its limited edition Cybertruck-inspired beer in the European market. The $30 beer named ‘GigaBier’ is a pilsner-style beer brewed with an exclusive strain of Cyberhops and features notes of citrus, bergamot, and sweet fruit. Each bottle features a seamless gloss black sleeve with a glow-in-the-dark Giga watermark. 

The company said that Tesla GigaBier is designed to emulate the form of Cybertruck while honoring the 500-year tradition of German Reinheitsgebot beermaking. Soon after announcing the launch of their new product at Giga Fest, Tesla trademarked both “Giga Beer” and “Giga Bier.” As of now, the product is only available for purchase in Europe, where it is produced in Germany and sold as a three-pack for €89 ($97.06). Each can of Tesla’s GigaBier has a 5 percent ABV and contains approximately 330ml, which is just over 11 oz. Tesla has filed for registration of the product through the US Patent Office, but it is not yet available for purchase in the US.

The beer is the second alcoholic beverage sold by Tesla. In 2020, Tesla launched its limited edition Tesla Tequila or ‘Teslaquila’ which was an exclusive, small-batch premium 100% de agave tequila añejo made from sustainably sourced highland and lowland agaves which were sold out in record time.  Bottles that had been previously owned were sold on various online marketplaces, such as eBay, for a price exceeding $1,000.

Tesla’s Eccentric Product Launches:

Tesla is not only known for its Electric Vehicles but also for a variety of eccentric limited-edition products that usually sell out within minutes of their launch. For instance, in 2018 Tesla launched a limited edition surfboard made of carbon fiber and designed by the Tesla Design Studio. 

The company has also launched other cool products and gadgets like a limited edition portable battery charger that resembles a miniature version of Tesla’s Supercharger, a Tesla Jacket which was a limited edition bomber jacket that featured a red Tesla logo on the chest, Tesla Radio Flyer which was a super cool limited edition electric Model S for kids designed in collaboration with Radio Flyer, Tesla Watch, Tesla Flamethrower, Tesla Bottle Opener, Cyber whistle and more. 

These limited edition or unusual products are now a part of Tesla’s brand identity and creativity which is beyond their main business of producing electric vehicles and energy solutions.
