Earlier, Vivo was touted to launch a new smartphone under the T lineup in India. The smartphone series was said to replace Vivo’s Y series for the region. Now, however, the tipster Mukul Sharma reveals that the new “Series T” will be aimed towards the online marketplace in India.

As per the tipster, the new Vivo T series or “Series T” will be aimed towards the online market and will be performance-oriented. He further said that the new series should make its debut by early February in India.

To recall, the past report revealed that Vivo is planning to launch a T series phone dubbed Vivo T1 in India. But, contrary to the above information, the past report mentioned a March arrival. Nonetheless, the new T series is coming and the tipster has already confirmed that the first device to arrive will be the Vivo T1 in the country.

Reportedly, the Vivo T1 will be a 5G phone and it will have two variants for the Indian market. It will have an 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and an 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The device may also come in a 12GB variant as per the previous report.

As for other specs, the phone was already launched in China last year. It sports a 6.67-inch LCD display with an FHD+ resolution. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10 support. The device has a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera system and a single 16MP selfie lens.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC and has 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery and features a side-facing fingerprint scanner for security.

Back in October 2021, Vivo announced the Vivo T1 5G in the Chinese market offering Snapdragon 778G at a mid-range price. Now, a new report from 91Mobiles states that the T1 5G could head to India soon.

The publication reveals that the Vivo T1 5G will launch in India by March this year. However, there’s no exact launch date at the moment. Nonetheless, the variants have been revealed and the phone is touted to arrive in two configurations – 8GB RAM + 128GB and 8GB RAM and 256GB. There could also be a higher 12GB RAM variant.

Reportedly, the T1 5G’s arrival could also be the replacement of the existing Y-series in India. We might see more T-series phones once the T1 officially lands in India.

Apart from this, there are no other details regarding its specs. But, since the phone has already gone official last year, we do know its details. Although, it is not sure whether the Indian variant will come with the same specs as the Chinese model.

The Vivo T1 5G sports a 6.67-inch LCD display with an FHD+ resolution. It has a 120Hz high refresh rate screen and has HDR10 support. There’s a single 16MP selfie camera up front, while the back has a triple camera array. It has a 64MP main lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and lastly a 2MP macro camera.

Chinese handset maker vivo is all set to debut a new lineup of smartphones called vivo T series. One of the models in the lineup recently appeared on JD. Now, a leaker reveals a few details about the first two models in the new series.

According to Digital Chat Station, vivo will be launching two devices in the vivo T series initially. These handsets will be called vivo T1 and vivo T1x respectively. The latter will be a cheaper variant of the former.

As per him, the vivo T1 series will be available in the following memory configurations and color options.

Unfortunately, the tipster did not expose anything else other than the above-mentioned details. But since the devices are rumored to launch ahead of Double Eleven (singles’ day) shopping festival, we expect vivo to start teasing the phone very soon.

Going by the previous reports, the vivo T series will succeed the now discontinued vivo Z series. It will be targeted at male youth who crave performance. These smartphones are said to cost around ¥2,000-¥2,500.
