Some of its key features include a 120Hz AMOLED panel, a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup, a massive 6,500mAh battery, and a durable build. Vivo V50 Lite (4G) specifications and features

The Vivo V50 Lite (4G) has a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen that offers an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness. It is equipped with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Vivo V40 Lite (4G) featured the Snapdragon 685 chipset, and its successor also features the same chipset. The device ships with 8GB of RAM, 8GB of virtual RAM, 256GB of built-in storage, and a 6,500mAh battery with 90W charging. It comes with other features, such as dual speakers and an in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The vertical dual-camera setup on the back has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an Aura Light ring LED flash. The device runs on Android 15 with a layer of Funtouch OS 15 on top.

Just last month, the Vivo V50 went on sale in the Indian market with the higher end V50 Pro variant expected to debut soon as well. Now, the upcoming Vivo V50 Lite has just surfaced online in a new leak. This revealed the specs and design of both the 4G and 5G variants, so let’s have a look.

Vivo V50 Lite 5G & 4G Variants Spotted Online

Just recently, the Vivo V50 Lite surfaced on the Google Play Console database and three other certifications as well. These hint at the device’s imminent release. But ahead of the official launch, the Vivo V50 Lite 4G had its complete design revealed in leaked renders from 91Mobiles while the V50 Lite 5G was leaked by Paras Guglani. We can see the device features a pill shaped camera island similar to the base V50.

The module houses the dual rear cameras along with the AURA LED ring light. Both variants appear to be identical in terms of design. However, the primary difference is with the chipset. The V50 Lite 4G is equipped with the Snapdragon 685 SoC, while the 5G option packs the Dimensity 6300 processor. This is paired with around 8GB of RAM and up to 256Gb of internal storage.

Apart from this, the duo are powered by a massive 6,500mAh battery pack, which supports 90W fast charging. Another area where the two differ is with the camera setups. The Vivo V50 Lite 4G packs a 50MP + 2MP camera setup on the rear along with a 32MP selfie shooter. On the other hand, the V50 Lite 5G has a 50MP + 8MP cameras at the back and a 32MP front facing sensor. Both variants are also getting IP65 ratings for splash and dust resistance.

Vivo has recently made headlines with the launch of the V50, and now a new listing in the Google Play Console has revealed the upcoming V50 Lite. This mid-range smartphone is set to join the V50 lineup as a more affordable option. The listing provides an official render of the device and some key specifications.

The V50 Lite will come in two variants: a 4G-only model and a 5G version. The 4G variant, with the model number V2441, is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. While the Snapdragon 680 is an older processor, it should still deliver decent performance for everyday tasks.

The device features a 1080×2392 resolution (FHD+) display and will run Android 15 out of the box. According to its FCC certification, the V50 Lite will pack a massive 6,500mAh battery (up from 6,000 mAH battery of the V50) with support for 90W fast wired charging, along with 256GB of storage.

Judging from the render, the V50 Lite appears to have ditched the rounded sides of the V50 for a completely flat design, which feels a bit disappointing to me personally.

To recall, the vivo V50 comes with a sweet looking pill-shaped camera island on the back with a circular assembly for the lenses and an “Aura Light” ring below that. Based on the render, the Lite version has two different cutouts for the lenses. Interestingly one of the cutouts appear to have an additional lens, which could be a macro or a depth camera. The V50 packs only two 50MP lenses on the back: main and ultrawide.

The Vivo V50 (powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 3) is currently available on Flipkart for Rs 34,999, and the V50 Lite (powered by Snapdragon 680) is expected to be a lot cheaper. The official announcement expected in the coming weeks.

Vivo officially launched the V50 in India earlier this week, but the Pro model is nowhere to be seen. That doesn’t mean the company is skipping the Lite version, though. The Vivo V50 Lite has now surfaced in multiple certifications, suggesting an imminent launch.

The device recently appeared in FCC, Malaysia’s SIRIM, and Thialand’s NBTC certifications, carrying the model number V2440. The FCC listing confirms support for all standard connectivity options, including LTE, 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.

Powering the device will be a 6,500mAh battery which is labeled under model number BA93. However, finer details about charging speeds and other specs remain unknown.

Meanwhile, Malaysia’s SIRIM certification doesn’t reveal much, except that the phone is officially headed to the Malaysian market. The same goes for Thailand’s NBTC listing, which confirms a launch in the country.

With multiple regulatory approvals in place, the Vivo V50 Lite’s official debut might not be far off. We don’t know what the device will bring to the table though. So here’s a quick look at its predecessor specs. 

Vivo V40 Lite

The V40 Lite is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The front is home to a 6.78-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display (2400 x 1080 resolution) with 120 Hz support. 

You also get a 32MP selfie camera on the tiny notch upfront. At the same time, the rear camera system includes a 50 MP Sony IMX 882 main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2 MP macro camera. 

Fueling the device is a 5500mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging. Other specs of V40 Lite include IP64 dust and water resistance, an under-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics, and support for microSD card through a shared SIM slot.
