Vivo has introduced the Y29s 5G as a new addition to the Y29 series, which includes the Y29 (4G) and Y29 (5G). The device is now listed on Vivo’s global website with all its specifications and features. Here’s a look at what’s packed inside the Y29s 5G.

The Vivo Y29s 5G sports a 6.74-inch LCD waterdrop-notch display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 570 nits. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, built on a 6nm process. The phone is equipped with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, with support for an additional 2TB via a microSD card.
For photography, the Y29s 5G features a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 0.08MP auxiliary sensor. There is a 5-megapixel selfie front camera for selfies and video calls. It will run on the latest Funtouch OS 15-based Android 15.
A 5,500mAh battery powers the Y29s 5G, supporting 15W charging. For security, it features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, and GPS. While NFC is available in some regions, it is absent in Malaysia. When it comes to durability, the device offers an IP64-rated dust and water resistance along with SGS and military-grade shock resistance. It measures 167.30 x 76.95 x 8.19mm and weighs 199 grams.

While the price of the Vivo Y29s 5G is yet to be revealed, it will be available in an 8GB+256GB configuration and Titanium Gold and Jade Green colour options.
