An unannounced Vivo smartphone with model number V2012A has been spotted on Geekbench. While the identity of the phone is under the wraps, it appears to be an upcoming upper mid-range handset from the company.

The Geekbench listing of the Vivo V2012A reveals that it scored 2930 and 7838 points respectively in the single-core and multi-core tests. The phone is running on the latest Android 10 OS.

The phone is driven by Qualcomm’s octa-core processor chipset. The Identifier field mentions it as “ARM implementer 81 architecture 8 variant 15 part 2052 revision 14.” It has a base frequency of 1.80GHz. While the name of the chipset is not mentioned, it appears to be powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset.

In February, Vivo launched the Snapdragon 765G powered Vivo Z6 5G phone in China. The newly spotted V2012A phone could be a completely new device. There is a possibility that it could be a global version of the Vivo Z6 5G. It is advisable to wait for further reports to know more about the V2012A phone.

Vivo Z6 5G specifications

The Vivo Z6 5G has a punch-hole display that measures 6.57 inches. The 20:9 aspect ratio screen supports full HD+ resolution. The Snapdragon 765G fuels the device. The handset comes in 6 GB and 8 GB RAM versions in the home market. Both models have native storage of 128 GB.

It has a front-facing camera of 16-megapixel. The rear side of the device is fitted with a quad camera setup. It comprises of a primary lens of 48-megapixel, an ultrawide sensor of 8-megapixel, a macro lens of 2-megapixel and a depth lens of 2-megapixel.  The receives power to perform from a 5,000mAh battery. The handset comes with a 44W fast charger.

Vivo is all set to announce the Vivo Z6 5G smartphone on Saturday. Ahead of the launch, the Vivo Z6 5G that has a model number of V1963A has been spotted at TENAA with full specifications. Ahead of the Feb. 29 launch, the company is now receiving reservations of the smartphone in China. Today, Vivo shared two posters to reveal the camera configurations and display features of the Vivo Z6 5G phone.

The rear shell of the Vivo Z6 5G features a rectangle-shaped camera setup. The new poster that gives a closer look at the setup reveals four cameras and a pill-shaped LED flash unit. While the TENAA listing confirmed that the Vivo Z6 5G confirmed that the phone has a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad camera system, the poster only reveals the megapixel count of the main sensor.

The image shows that the first lens in the setup is a 112-degree ultrawide lens of 8-megapixel with a wide aperture. It is followed by the 48-megapixel main shooter with f/1.79 aperture. Next comes the 2-megapixel depth sensor and a below the LED flash is a 2-megapixel macro lens with 4cm focal length.

The other poster showcases the punch-hole display of the Vivo Z6 5G. The circular cutout at the top-right of the screen is of 3.5mm. The phone promises a tall aspect ratio of 20:9. The TENAA listing revealed that the phone offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It has an in-display selfie camera of 16-megapixel. The phone promises a screen-to-body ratio of 90.74 percent.

Vivo has already confirmed that the Vivo Z6 5G will be arriving with Snapdragon 765G mobile platform and it will carry support for dual-mode 5G. The phone is expected to arrive with gaming capabilities as it features PC level liquid cooling system and Multi-Turbo 3.0. The handset is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 44W rapid charging. The handset can be completely charged in just 65 minutes, claims the company.

The Android 10 OS will come preloaded on the Vivo Z6 5G smartphone. It will come with up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of native storage. The phone will be available in three colors like black, purple and light blue.

The smartphone is the latest entry in the Vivo Z series of smartphones and will arrive with improvements across the board, especially gaming. As for the liquid cooling system, the Vivo Z6 features an 85mm long liquid cooling tube and a multi layer graphite heat sink that covers a total area of more than 10,000 square millimeters. This translates to the temperature of the smartphone being dropped by about 10 degrees Celsius. The system is managed by a built in Cooling Turbo system, that intelligently manages the thermals while gaming.

Alongside such hardware enhancing technology, the Vivo Z6 also brings gaming experience to the forefront with software optimizations as well. The smartphone is equipped with Game Space 3.0 and adds features like an eSports mode, that provides an immersive gaming experience for hardcore mobile gamers. A new Vivo phone that has a model number V1963A was spotted on Geekbench benchmarking site in the previous month. Now the same phone has been spotted on TENAA’s database in China. The listing lacks the images of the phone, but its entire specifications are available. It appears to be the upcoming Vivo Z6 smartphone.

Vivo has already confirmed that the Vivo Z6 is a 5G smartphone that is fueled by the Snapdragon 765G chipset.  The SoC includes the Snapdragon X52 5G modem. The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery which is coupled with 44W fast charging technology. The company claims that the phone can fully charge in just 65 minutes through its rapid charging feature. The posters released by the company confirms that it will be sporting a punch-hole display and a rectangular camera system along with a fingerprint sensor on the back.

Vivo Z6 specifications (Rumored)

The V1963A that has cropped on TENAA appears to be the forthcoming Vivo Z6 smartphone. The phone measures 163.99 x 75.71 x 9.16mm and it weighs 201 grams. The device features a 6.57-inch TFT display that produces full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2080 pixels.

The 2.4GHz octa-core processor that powers the Vivo V1963A seems to be the Snapdragon 765G CPU which offers the same clocking speeds. In China, the Vivo V1963A will be available in 6 GB and 8 GB RAM options and three storage choices like 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB.

The Android 10 OS comes preloaded on the Vivo V1963A smartphone. For capturing selfie shots, the phone offers user with a 16-megapixel front camera. The rear side of the device has a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel +2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad camera system. The phone draws power from a minimum rated battery of 4,880mAh capacity. Its typical size could be 5,000mAh.

As of this writing, there is no word on the pricing of the Vivo Z6 smartphone. The phone will be launching on Feb. 29 in China and it is currently up for reservations. The first 900 users that book the handset will take home XE900 earphones worth 599 Yuan (~$85) for free. The handset will be available in color editions such as Light Blue, Black and Purple.
