Huawei has announced its second foldable device today. Called the Mate Xs, this is practically an upgraded version of the Mate X that launched last year. The Mate Xs is faster, more powerful, and of course more expensive than the Mate X.

Huawei Mate XS launch

The segment dedicated to the Mate Xs was not only a chance for Huawei to show off what its foldable can do but also to compare it to its closest competitor – the Galaxy Fold (5G).

The Mate Xs still keeps the 8” screen (unfolded) of the Mate X. When folded, the screen measures 6.6” on the front and 6.38” on the back. The Mate Xs has a Falcon Wing Design and is built from Zirconium-based liquid metal that is 30% harder than titanium alloy.
