At the just-concluded Huawei online presentation, Richard Yu, the CEO of Huawei Technologies Consumer Business Group, revealed the launch date for its anticipated flagship series, the Huawei P40 series.

The top executive announced towards the end of his presentation that the Huawei P40 series will be unveiled in Paris on March 26. However, the venue and time were not mentioned.

Mr. Yu boasted that the P40 series will be the world’s most powerful 5G flagships.

The Huawei P40 series includes the standard Huawei P40, the Huawei P40 Pro, the Huawei P40 Pro Premium Edition, and a mid-range Huawei P40 Lite. The flagship phones are expected to launch with the Kirin 990/Kirin 990 5G chipsets that powered the Mate 30 series and also come with better cameras.

Leaked renders have shown that the P40 phones will have punch-hole displays. The holes will house dual front-facing cameras save for the P40 Lite that will have a single front-facing camera.

Just like the newly announced Mate Xs, the Huawei P40 series will definitely be available globally and should ship with Huawei’s AppGallery and Ecosystem.
