Xiaomi has unveiled the MIJIA Hair Clipper 2 in China. The new Xiaomi MIJIA hair clipper comes with a sharper obsidian head and its pre-sale opens on August 11. The MIJIA Hair Clipper 2 offers a more precise shaving capability than its previous iteration.

Xiaomi has not announced the full specs of the MIJIA Hair Clipper 2. Previous credible reports have been pieced together to get a feel of the new hair clipper. The first-generation MIJIA Hair Clipper was launched in 2021 and supports five stages of length adjustment. It is equipped with a titanium-coated ceramic knife and is rated IPX7 waterproof. The MIJIA Hair Clipper can operate for up to 3 hours (180 minutes) on a single charge. The hair clipper has 19 sections of haircut length assistance and offers full-body washing. It also has an oil drip reminder and up to seven accessories that are part of the package.

It is expected that the MIJIA Hair Clipper 2 will come with improvements over its predecessor. For one, the new obsidian head provides greater cutting efficiency over the first-generation model. The full specs of the MIJIA Hair Clipper 2 will be released soon as its pre-sale has commenced. The Xiaomi MIJIA Hair Clipper 2 is priced at 139 yuan (~$19) and is slightly cheaper than the MIJIA Hair Clipper at 149 yuan (~$21). Xiaomi will subsequently provide availability and pricing information, as well as full specs of the MIJIA Hair Clipper 2.
