Later on August 5th, Xiaomi hosted an OPEN DAY at the Xiaomi Science and Technology Park in Beijing. During this event, the 8 project teams that stood out from the 76 participants had the opportunity to interact directly with users at the venue.

According to ITHome, the competition’s judges evaluated entries on six criteria: innovation, technological leadership, application scenes, user experience, business value, and work completion. The winners were selected based on their performance in these dimensions.

The winning project was Xiaomi AI Literacy Glasses, which is a visual system based on semantic understanding. The glasses use a double-eyed camera to identify objects, distance, location, color, text, and human faces. They also provide visually impaired people with multiple functions, such as identification, and recognition of roads.
