At its annual developer conference today in China, Senior Vice President of vivo, Shi Yujian unveiled the performance results of vivo in the Chinese market over the past year.

He revealed that vivo was one of the Top 3 Premium (More than 4000RMB) Smartphone brands in the Chinese market in Q3 2021, surpassing its sister company OnePlus as well as Samsung in the Chinese smartphone market. It accounts for a surprising 22.1% market share of smartphone shipments in the country, and it has more than 270 million active users currently in China. 

On a global scale, vivo has been making strides too, as it is now the Top 3 smartphone brand in high potential developing markets such as the Philippines, Malaysia, and even India.

Shi Yujian, the Vice President also noted that 2021 has been the year of major change for vivo, a “Flywheel 2.0” year you might say. At the same time, vivo has been also expanding its markets overseas into the IoT market, aiming to collaborate and lead the industry, additionally to also advance the greater community.

At the end of the conference, vivo also shares that it has innovations in battery life, memory management, 5G, and Wi-Fi in store for its consumers in the future, especially with the in-house generational leap memory management 2.0 and its upcoming LTPO adaptive refresh rate display 3.0.
