A new rumor has it that the new Nokia smartphone will be manufactured by Taiwanese company Foxconn, which also manufactures Apple’s iPhones. Further it is said that the Nokia devices would feature camera sensors manufactured using graphene material, also featuring an all-metal body design. In simple terms, graphene is a thin layer of pure carbon; it is a single, tightly packed layer of carbon atoms that are bonded together in a hexagonal honeycomb lattice.

Ah another fatal mistakes for a newcomer. Don’t get me wrong, Nokia was the king of handphone many years ago but now they come back as rockie. If they want to comeback, they need to come at mainstream (read : cheap) smartphone that can reach millions of buyers to build back their previous glorious name.

Now they come with their head seeing up to the sky with flagship expensive smartphone. I was wondering why people want to buy their expensive phone instead of buying from other reputable well known brands

The old nokia brands was well known for their mainstream models that was cheap and got good performance. Now they just come back and want to compete with big competitor name like iphone and samsung ????

Its not a rumour that Foxconn will make the Nokia devices, I think it was the plan from the start. They bought the factory from Microsoft located in Vietnam that have make the latest Lumias. And they will doing all phones with the Nokia brand, from the cheapest feature phones to the most expensive flagship devices.

And of course they can compete with Samsung with that big of portfolio of devices they got cheap and also expensive devices. Samsung recently payed a high amount of money to Nokia for patents etc..Around 1 billion dollars.
Those patents and camera technology was only licensed to Microsoft. But remained in Nokia.

Nokia also bought Withings that are a manufactors of smartwatches etc..
So my opinion are that they (HMD Global) will go all in in this. Nokia will have one board member in HMD Global that will use the Nokia brand.

The article only cowered the expensive devices, but it will be all kind.
