We recently reported that two upcoming Meizu smartphones carrying model numbers M973Q and M928Q have passed through the radio certification process in China. Now, the National Radio Authority in China has confirmed that the M973Q model has received certification for the entire network on 31st July.

Now, it is being believed that the Meizu smartphone with model number M973Q could be the upgraded version of the Meizu 16s, dubbed Meizu 16s Pro given that the 16s carries model number M971Q.

Meizu 16s Pro Radio Certificate

The certification for the device indicates that the launch of the Meizu 16s Pro should take place in the near future. Recently, Meizu’s Founder, Chairman, and CEO also revealed on the company’s forum that a new product will soon be launched in the market. Currently, there’s no information available about the Meizu 16s Pro smartphone.

Meizu 16s was launched in April this year featuring a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display which uses a COF bonding technique and has curved corners allows for a screen-to-body ratio of 91.53%. The display has a VDE Blue-light certified protection which blocks up to 33% of harmful blue light and also supports DC dimming.

It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage. As for the camera, the phone has dual rear cameras where the primary sensor is a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and 4-axis OIS. There’s a 20MP Sony IMX350 secondary sensor with an f/2.6 aperture.

There are a bunch of camera features such as Dual Super Night Scene, Portrait Bokeh Mode, and AI scene recognition. On the front side, it comes with a 20MP Samsung 3T2 selfie camera which launched this year features the world’s smallest front-facing lens. The Meizu 16s is actually the first phone in the world to use the sensor.

It also comes with Hyper Gaming technology for smooth and lag-free mobile gaming. There is also mEngine 3.0 which provides an immersive gaming experience when playing games like BuildTopia. Running on Android 9 Pie OS with its own custom user interface, the smartphone is powered by a 3,600mAh battery.
