HTC Chairwoman Cher Wang announced that she will donate as many as 100,000 pieces of HTC tablets for young women in Southeast Asia.
The tablet is expected to be used for higher education for women in the region, while promoting gender equality. Wang announced this at the World Bank forum entitled ‘Equal Partnership Futures: From Promise to Progress’ in Washington. Tablet HTC Flyer is distributed, which will be distributed to all schools in Southeast Asia.
To note, this is not new to Wang. Earlier in August 2002 and then note that Wang also distributed 6,000 pieces of the HTC Flyer tablet to 60 schools in Taipei in order to improve the school education in terms of technology. Wang wants more and more women are familiar with the technology to help achieve equality with men.
Wang is one of the most influential women in the world of technology Forbes in August, which is known is also a co-founder of HTC.
