South Korean tech giant LG has announced a new tablet which features entry-level specifications. The tablet is dubbed LG G Pad F2 8.0 and comes with a few unique features despite the budget category it falls into.
The G Pad F2 sports an 8-inch WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) display which is quite adequate for a budget model. The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 chipset with Octa-core 1.5GHz CPU and this is backed by a 2GB RAM while there is 16GB of internal storage. Tablets are usually not known for powerful cameras and the G Pad F2 isn’t different. It packs a 5MP sensor at the rear camera as well as 5MP selfie shooter. The device gets its power from a 3,000mAh battery which is expandable using the G Pad Pack Plus and it adds an extra 4400mAh capacity, bringing the total capacity to 7,400mAh. Without the expandable battery, the device has a dimension of 5″(H) x 8.5″(W) x 0.31″(D) with a weight of 350g. The G Pad 2 runs Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.
The LG G Pad F2 comes with a price tag of $149.99 and is available in the U.S through Sprint. There is a monthly payment option available. No word yet as to when or if the device will be available outside the U.S. You can find more details on LG’s website.
