Xiaomi announced the world’s thinnest LED TV in India a few days ago for a competitive price tag of Rs. 39,999 (~$618). Despite having multiple variants (49/ 55/ 69-inch) of the Mi TV 4 in China, India gets just the 55-inch model.  You can purchase the TV from flipkart, mi.com and even Mi Home stores all across the country on Thursday. The Mi TV 4 comes with 3 months of subscription to Sony LIV and Hungama Play among other add on features. You get the Mi IR cable for free along with on-site installation free as part of the launch offer.

The TV supports 4K resolution and HDR and features 8ms response time. Inside, there’s a 64-bit Amlogic SoC clocked at 1.8GHZ with Mali-T830 graphics. You get 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage along with Dolby DTS Cinema Audio powering the 2 x 8W duct inverted speakers. The company’s Patchwall UI has also been tweaked for the Indian market. As for the ports, you get 3 x HDMI 2.0, 2 x USB (1  x3.0), an Ethernet port, S/PDIF port, Wi-Fi ac, and Bluetooth 4.0.
