The new firmware weighs about 465 MB and it is identified by the build number G955FXXU1CRC7. It is based on Android 8.0 Oreo as these devices have already been updated to the latest Android version.

Besides bringing the security patches for this month, the new update rolling out on Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus is also fixing five vulnerabilities found in Samsung Experience, the customized user interface from the Korean giant. At the moment, there are no other reports regarding this update, so we do not know if it is rolling out in other European countries as well. The update regards the Exynos variant of the handsets as it is the one launched in the European market.
