The OnePlus 6’s model number is revealed to be A6003. This follows the pattern of previous OnePlus phones. It is also revealed that the phone is running Android 8.1.0 with firmware version OsygenOS 5.1.0. Just like the OnePlus 5T, the OnePlus 6 also supports dual band Wi-Fi.

Although it is still surprising that the OnePlus 6 will be launching early but seeing as the OnePlus 5T is out of stock in some markets already, and OnePlus doesn’t have other phones it is selling, it makes sense why it is releasing a new phone earlier than expected.

The new flagship has been confirmed to feature a notch and will come in three variants this time. A new 256GB model will be released for those who want more storage. The phone will also cost more than the 5T.
