LG has been revealed as planning to launch the LG G7 on May 2. According to the popular Twitter tipster, Evan Blass, LG will unveil the G7 bearing the name LG G7 ThinQ and that has been confirmed. Ahead of the launch, a couple of TPU cases on the G7 have appeared online and along with them comes the opportunity to get yet another sneak preview of the LG flagship before it is officially launched.LG G7

The LG G7 protective cases come with an efficient anti-slip design. Eve in the event of a fall, the cases possess the ability to cushion the fall so that the device isn’t damaged. One of two different cases leaked has a clip for holding the smartphone firmly in the pocket and can even be used on the breast pocket. The case also comes with a covering for the display which would protect the screen from breaking if the phone falls and will also keep the screen protected from scratches by sharp objects like keys inside the pocket. The second protective case is obviously for the ladies as it comes in pink. Apart from the pink color, the case is designed with refractive stones all over the back.LG G7

Basically, the design is consistent with the previous renders of the G7 which we had seen previously. The device is expected to adopt a notch display design at the front which will house the selfie camera and an LED notification indicator as well as the front speaker. While at the back, there will be a vertically aligned dual rear camera setup and under the camera will sit a fingerprint sensor. The LG G7 ThinQ will feature a 6.1-inch display.

The LG G7 ThinQ has its power button and volume rockers located on the right side but there is also a button on the left which is said to be a dedicated AI button. Thus, LG may likely be playing the AI card as well. We’ll have to wait until the launch to find out what the AI button does but it may be similar to Samsung’s Bixby button. Specs-wise, the LG G7 ThinQ will be arriving with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform, 4 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64 GB. There may likely be a higher memory variant.
