LG is working on a successor for the midrange Q6 that launched last year but latest report says the LG Q7 won’t come with a Qualcomm processor.
The info comes from leaker @rquandt. In a tweet posted earlier today, he said the LG Q7 LM-Q610 is powered by a MediaTek SoC and adds in a reply that it is not the Helio P60 but a less powerful and older chipset.
There are a number of mid-range MediaTek processors that are capable of offering impressive performance such as the Helio P23. There is also the more powerful Helio X23 but that might be a little far-fetched.
The LG Q7 is expected to launch soon along with another model called the LG Q7 Stylus (LM-Q710). They should arrive first in Asia before heading to other markets.
