Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 recently got a 100 yuan price cut for the 3GB + 32GB variant in China. Right now, the high-end 6GB + 64GB version has also gotten a 300 yuan ($47) price cut which brings its price down to 1,399 yuan (~$218) from 1,699 yuan (~$263). This latest price slash is exclusively on Jingdong (JD.com) and is part of its 6/18 shopping festival to mark the date of its founding. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5

The current 1,399 yuan price tag for the Redmi Note 5 6GB + 64GB variant is an interesting offer considering that it places the variant at the same price the 4GB + 64GB variant sells on other e-commerce retail platforms, including Mi Home. The price cut may likely be time limited since the 6/18 shopping festival peaks on June 18. After that, the price will revert back to 1,699 yuan.

Asa reminder, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is a 5.99-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display packing mid-range smartphone with an affordable pricing. The phone comes with a layer of 2.5D curved glass to provide some bit of protection and aesthetics.
