Science and Knowledge is a YouTube channel which often publishes concept videos about upcoming flagships phones based on the existing information. Three days ago, the channel has published a new concept video showing the LG V40 ThinQ. Note that the video only reflects the designer’s thoughts about the upcoming flagship and it has not to be considered an official video. According to Science and Knowledge, the V40 will have even narrower bezels than V30 and G7. t will be fully borderless on three sides and there will not be a chin, unlike the other Android phones with borderless designs.

LG V40 ThinQ will only have one bezel on the upper part which will contain the earpiece, selfie camera and other sensors. According to the designer, the backplate will be made of glass, while the frame will be made of metal just like other LG flagships. The power key is placed on the back side and it doubles as a fingerprint reader. There is also a dual camera setup in a vertical configuration, a laser autofocus mechanism, and a rear LED flash. The volume balancer has been placed on the right side, while on the lower border there are a microphone, a speaker grille, and a USB Type-C port to charge the device.

LG V40 ThinQ concept phone has both the IP68 certification (which makes it fully waterproof and dustproof) and the military certification (MIL-STD-810G) like rugged phones. It boasts a 6.1-inch display with a Quad HD+ resolution and HDR10 technology for richer colors, as well as a 90.2 percent screen-to-body ratio (still lower than the latest Oppo and Vivo flagships). It is equipped with an octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset by Qualcomm, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 64, 128 or 256 GB of internal storage depending on the configuration. The dual camera has 23 and 19 MP resolution with OIS and PDAF, while the front camera has 16 MP.
