Earlier today, Xiaomi teased its upcoming Android One smartphone — Mi A2, which is the successor of the Mi A1 launched last year. The company has scheduled a global launch event in Spain on 24th July, where Xiaomi is expected to launch Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite.
Now, ahead of the phone’s official launch, the Mi A2 Lite has already been listed on AliExpress and is available for purchase for $190/$210, which is way less than the rumored pricing of $290. Further, the listing also confirms the phone’s specifications which were leaked earlier.
The metal-bodied smartphone comes with a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with 2228 x 1080 pixel screen resolution and a notch on top of the display, in line with the current trend. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz.
The device comes in two variants — one with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage and another with 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. There’s also a dedicated microSD card slot, which enables users to further expand the phone’s storage capacity.
Coming to the optics, the smartphone features a dual camera setup on the back, consisting of a 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors with artificial intelligence features and capable of recording 4K videos. On the front side, there’s a 5-megapixel snapper with AI Portrait and AI Smart Beauty features.
Since the smartphone is a part of Google‘s Android One program, it is running pure Android Oreo operating system out of the box. The device drives power from a 4,000mAh battery that should provide a full day of usage.
The 3GB RAM model of Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is listed at $190 while the 4GB RAM model is listed for $210. The smartphone will be offered in three colors — Black, Gold, and Blue. However, we’ll know for sure the official pricing and availability details once the company launches the smartphone on 24th July.
