At a launch event in Paris in June, along with the Oppo Find X flagship smartphone, the Chinese company also announced its wireless earphones — Oppo O-Free Bluetooth Wireless Headphones. Now, it is finally available for purchase in China for 699 Yuan, which roughly converts to $101.

Oppo O-Free Wireless Bluetooth Headset

The ultra light-weight headset, which is designed for lower power consumption, uses Qualcomm’s chipset. It is powered by a Qualcomm QCC3026 chipset that was introduced with the headset. It is a flash-programmable Bluetooth Audio System-on-Chip (SoC) that was purpose-built to take fully wireless headphones to the next level.

The chipset can offer up to 50 percent reduced power consumption, increased functionality, and faster performance. The headset also comes with a built-in smart chip that synchronizes the left and right ear sounds with the phone without any delay. For this, it uses Oppo’s TrueWireless Stereo technology.

The headset also allows users to easily adjust volume, music playback as well as changing tracks with simple operation. Along with music playback and answering calls, the device also comes with support for translation as well as Oppo‘s smart voice assistant.

For connectivity, it comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and also supports SBC and aptX audio. Weighing around 6.2 grams, the earphones come in a gradient-like color, which matches both the color options of Oppo Find X – Ice Blue and Bordeaux Red.
