Coolpad M3 is the latest entry-level Coolpad smartphone that has gone official in China. The smartphone has been launched silently since there is no word on its official Weibo account. The Coolpad M3 has arrived as one of the cheapest smartphones with notched display. It is packed with modest specs and comes with an affordable price tag of just 799 Yuan (~$115).
Coolpad M3 Specifications
The Coolpad M3 measures 149.3 x 72.3 x 8.95mm and it weighs 171 grams. The rear panel of the phone seems to be made out of glass which seems to reflect different hues when viewed from different angles. It is fitted with a 5.85-inch notched LCD screen that delivers 1512 x 720 pixels. It offers an aspect ratio of 19:9.
The MediaTek MT6750 chipset that includes an octa-core processor that works 1.8 GHz powers the smartphone with 4 GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 32 GB and a microSD card slot for additional storage. The smartphone is backed by a 2,800mAh battery that supports 5V/2A charging.
The front-facing camera of 5-megapixel is equipped to capture beautified selfies by differentiating between facial features and skin tone of male and female. A vertical dual camera setup with an LED flash in between two sensors is placed on the backside of the phone. It includes a 13-megapixel main sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary lens.
For security, the handset is equipped with AI face recognition and rear-mounted fingerprint reader. Fingerprint sensor can be also used for launching different apps. The Coolpad M3 is preloaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS. The other features of the phone include dual SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack.
Coolpad M3 Pricing and Release Date
The Coolpad M3 is now for reservations on China’s Jingdong Mall retailer site. The official sales of the phone will begin at 10 AM on Nov. 28. The two color variants of the Coolpad M3 are Gentleman’s Enamel (Black) and Blue Sea.
