Remember Vivo Nex which was launched a few months ago as a first on-screen fingerprint device for the global market with a pop up camera? Well, it has achieved a milestone of 2 million sales in a span of just six months. Today, Vivo vice president, Hu Baishan revealed the sale figures and estimated sales worth 8 billion yuan in the last six months.
Unlike the other fullscreen smartphones in the market, Vivo took a different approach and added a front camera on the top with a slider like technology. Its on-screen fingerprint sensor has allowed it to maintain 91.24% body-screen-ratio. The high-end Vivo Nex device carries a 6.59-inch touchscreen display having a resolution of 1080 x 2316 pixels. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 on board with 6/8 GB RAM coupled with Adreno 616 GPU.
The new sales milestone has once again proved that people still look for innovative devices. If companies are first to cross the innovative barrier, then they will surely benefit from the initial market burst. Vivo Nex series also proved the same, as it was the first device to give us a look on a full-view display having an on-screen fingerprint scanner.
Additionally, the stats have appeared just a day before the launch of its successor, Vivo Nex dual screen version in Shanghai. It will come with dual displays and a fingerprint on-screen sensor. Vivo is also making its camera experience more immersive with the introduction of triple cameras.
