Updates are an important part of a phone’s life cycle. You want to know that there is software support for your phone after purchasing it that will bring new features and fix issues associated with the device. If you own a Realme smartphone, you should expect an update this month as the CEO has announced new features coming to a number of its devices and when you should expect them.

CEO Madhav Sheth revealed in a Tweet this morning that it will be updating its lineup by the end of February. Below are the devices getting updated and the changelog:

Realme 1

  • Bootloader unlock function.
  • Reboot feature.
  • February 2019 security patch.

Realme 2 and Realme C1

  • February 2019 security patch.

Realme 2 Pro

  • Fingerprint shutter – this should allow you to use the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as a shutter button which comes in handy when taking a selfie.
  • February 2019 security patch.

Realme U1

  • February 2019 security patch.

In separate tweets, the official Twitter account for Realme India Support confirmed that all their phones will get Android Pie and ColorOS 6 in the first half of 2019.
