Last month, Xiaomi Cepheus phone was spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 855 and 6 GB of RAM. At that time, it was speculated that the Xiaomi Mi 9 could have appeared with its Cepheus codename. Today, the same smartphone has made its way to the benchmarking site. However, this time around its 8 GB RAM variant of the phone.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 listing on Geekbench shows that it is running on Android 9 Pie OS. Strangely, instead of showing the name of the processor in the motherboard field on the benchmarking site, it mentions the “Cepheus” codename. As mentioned above, the new listing shows that the handset is equipped with 3 GB of RAM. In the single-core and multi-core benchmarking tests of Geekbench, the Xiaomi Mi 9 has respectively scored 3,524 and 11,127.

Xiaomi is also expected announce a 12 GB RAM variant of the phone called Xiaomi Mi 9 Battle Angel Edition. The unveil event that will kick off at 2 PM. The Chinese manufacturer is also expected to debut the Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition and Xiaomi Mi 9 SE alongside the Mi 9 smartphone.
