Besides launching the LG G8 ThinQ and G8s ThinQ smartphones, LG announced the V50 ThinQ 5G as its first 5G smartphone. The smartphone is packed with flagship specs and the company has also announced a display case for it dual-screen experience.

LG V50 ThinQ 5G Specifications and Features

The V50 ThinQ sports a military grade MIL-STD-810G and IP68 certified chassis. The thickness of the device is 7.6mm and weighs 183 grams. It is fitted with a 6.4-inch notched OLED FullVision display that produces Quad HD+ resolution.

The Snapdragon 855 and 6 GB of RAM are present under the hood of the V50 ThinQ 5G. It has a native storage of 128 GB. The inclusion of the X50 LTE modem on the device brings support for LG V50 ThinQ. There is a Vapor Chamber for heat dissipation inside the device.

When it comes to photography, the selfie notch of the V50 ThinQ 5G features a 8-megapixel primary sensor and an 5-megapixel wide-angle lens. The triple camera module of the phone includes an f/1.5 aperture 12-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and f/1.9 aperture 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens.

The V50 ThinQ 5G is packed with a 4,000mAh battery that carries support for fast charging and wireless charging. The other features of the V50 ThinQ include Android 9.0 Pie OS, Google Lens, 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, Bluetooth 5.0 and 3.5mm audio jack.

LG V50 ThinQ Dual Screen Accessory_

The Dual Screen accessory designed for the phone features a 6.2-inch OLED display that supports full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. There are pogo pins on the backside of the V50 ThinQ for attaching the phone. The second screen can support landscape and portrait modes. The additional screen can be used for doing separate tasks and as a gamepad for gaming.

LG V50 ThinQ 5G Price and Release Date

LG did not reveal the price tag of the LG V50 ThinQ 5G at its launch. Since it is equipped with support for 5G, it is expected to hit the market a bit later than its flagship siblings LG G8 ThinQ and LG G8s ThinQ.
