Vivo, one of the top Chinese smartphone manufacturers, hours ago released its first smartphone under the new IQOO lineup. Xiaomi and OPPO are two Chinese brand that recently released different smartphone under its sub brand with Vivo joining it’s counterpart. For those wondering, IQOO stands for Quest On and On. The smartphone would hit the market with the name “IQOO”.


The smartphone comes with lots of amazing features which make it suitable for gamers and high performance users. the device sports a 6.4-inch waterdrop AMOLED display with high 91.7% screen to body ratio. It is embedded with a Snapdragon 855 processor with four memory variants which includes 6+128GB, 8+128GB, 8+256GB, and the big monstrous 12+256GB version. This shows that Vivo is out this time to give it strong to the market and it also features a unique back design to differentiate it from other competitors in the market.

The smartphone comes in two different colours, the Electro-optic Blue and Lava Orange with both colors featuring Halo light strip at the back which would be an additional advantage for gamers. What’s the function of this strip? It comes up automatically when you finish a particular milestone during gameplay, giving a sense of achievement. In the camera department, it’s features a triple camera setup, with a 12MP IMX 363 primary sensor, 13MP wide angle lens and a 2MP lens for background blur. There doesn’t seem to be OIS on board, but you do get EIS. For selfies, there’s a 12MP sensor for capturing those amazing moment.

Under the hood is a 4000mAh battery which would give gamers a considerate gaming time when fully charge. The battery is supported with a 44W charger which would charge the device fully in just 45mins. Other features include Jovi Assistant, NFC, screen fingerprint, and a new Funtouch OS 9 based on Android Pie. Lastly, the device features a two monster touch buttons on the side. The two button comes into use when playing game improving gameplay. Vivo also announced that IQOO is the official smartphone of KPL (King Pro League). See more photos below
