Xiaomi’s MIUI has been a popular custom interface based on the Android operating system for many years. The custom Android fork from Xiaomi is currently in the 10th version — MIUI 10 and comes with several useful features that are not included in the vanilla Android experience.

However, there are still tons of features that the users of MIUI have been requesting and it seems that the company has now listened to the users’ demand. In a Xiaomi’s MIUI Forum post, the company has summarized a list of features and feedback received from the users.

The forum post shows the list of features that the company has decided to add in the new MIUI build, another list with features that are planned to get adopted, and the third list with the features that the company is yet to decide upon.

Here’s a list of some of the features that Xiaomi has decided to adopt:

  • Option to show lock screen while using face unlock instead of directly unlocking the device and going to the home screen
  • New sound effects
  • Enhanced Dolby sound effects
  • Face unlock and fingerprint scanner to work simultaneously
  • Optimized power saving mode
  • Screen wake-up using voice commands
  • Optimized clean-up all with one-click command
  • Support for album privacy for videos
  • Global night mode
  • Vertical text support for photo editing
  • App Store user interface redesign
  • Show charging status and power level on the information screen

Here’s a list of some of the features that the company plans to adopt in future builds:

  • Automatically delete the installation package after installing the app
  • Reduce false touch
  • Local recycle bin for photo albums
  • Picture crop support for 18:9 display
  • Optimized App permission management
  • Better voice-activated shutter function
  • Mi Pay support Jingdong flash payment
  • Driving mode support QQ message broadcast and voice broadcast
  • Child Mode
  • Bluetooth stereo while playing games
  • Internet speed and traffic management
  • Show emergency contact information of lock screen
  • New charging animation
